247 tunnel vision reports that they have heard nothing to say that LSU has made up significant ground or leads. Appears to still be ND vs. Vandy with ND leading. They also quote a number of current commits (Day and Daly, specifically) saying that they believe Gunner is "very close" to committing.

Purdue is pushing for an OV this weekend, but as of right now that doesn't appear like it will happen. USC is also trying to get in his ear (bastards) and are still in the picture but not a serious play at this point.

Recruitment will wrap up sooner rather than later.

I wouldn't say that yet.....no one knows how these kids will develope or how quickly. Who would've thought Jonas would have had the year he had or that GA3 would have had the effect on ST that he did as a freshman. There's talent there my man I think they will step up.

Don't believe that Gunner has narrowed his list to Vandy and ND... SEC Twitter... did they indicate a source? (No is the answer) Nobody has identified where this information came from- anyone can Tweet anything. The first one (Tweet) I saw that reported he had narrowed his choices was from a no-name from somewhere (not related to the "SEC Twitter")... and then two of their friends re-Tweeted after that-
He is still down to three he had narrowed it to... ND, LSU, and Vandy, in no particular order.
Geez I can't stand rumor-mongers and the people who perpetuate it. You see no confirmation from Rivals or Scout... ESPN many times simply reports rumors based off of what they can get as "news or controversy." I hope it's ND-
This this is not what Gunner's family is about. Contrary to many people's belief, they are not people who relish controversy and attention. And Gunner's got a good head on his shoulders. He's not going to have a "countdown" of what teams have been "eliminated." It's still down to 3 teams.
Let's all wait until we hear from the family- not from speculation coming from random people trying to get "news."

Yawn. He quoted B&G, not some twitter. I read the same stuff on 247. The only boards that say LSU is in it are LSU boards. This whole post is odd and reeks of... well, im not sure what. Its just odd.

I'm fairly confident that an LSU troll wouldn't come here asking for people to be more respectful in recruiting threads. People here seem to feel that reading tweets and reports online makes them qualified to speak down to family and friends of recruits.

It's just very odd that those two accounts pop up circa 6 AM to make these posts. The first post reads defensive of the family and the second reads attacking of the posters. Makes you go hmmmmm. But that's my early morning conspiracy theorist going. Escpecially when no one has EVER suggested gunner or his fam are attention grabbers (would make no sense with how quiet the recruitment is compared to some kids) its just doubly odd to hear that brought up.

Would make sense for kids/family to read these threads full of rampant speculation and laugh at how wrong everyone is. Hopefully this whole guessing game ends soon one way or another.

Where are the ridiculous posts? Everyone on here wants Gunner to be Irish, and the mods (myself included) delete any posts that we deem offensive in ANY way to a recruit or that go off-topic from the recruit. That's the number one rule of this site.

Please go and find these 'ridiculous' posts, write the post numbers down, and point them out to me so I can delete them. I'd love to determine your definition of ridiculous.

Being disrespectiful to Gunner and "speaking down" to new posters are not the same thing.

Only in internet land can you start your first interaction with a person, "not to be a d*** . . . ", and think you being polite. Not everyone spends enough time on the internet message boards to know the rules.

We have enough history on this and other boards to know that there is always the possibility that you are, in fact, talking to a friend or relative. Not taking the same liberties with a new poster that you would with everyone else is good policy.
