Good hire by Kansas. I think he will do a good job there. I will be pulling for him.
I still think this was bad for him. THere is going to be openings at the NFL where he had a ton of success. I think he would be better coach at the NFL level then college.
Yeah, so long as he sticks with one DC and his name is not Tenuta he should be fine. Would love to see him as a successful HC and prove the naysayers wrong.
Wonder how or why this came up
“@DavidMcCoyWSBT: Charlie Weis says it doesn't do any good to be demeaning or condescending to players who were there from previous regime. Hmm....”
My three areas of concern:
1. Offensive line under Weis was mediocre, at best. Clausen was running for his life most of the time and no one else was doing much running in our offense.
2. Strength and conditioning. We consistently faded later in the year.
3. Defense. The rumors that Leavitt might be the DC would go a long way to calming that fear.
I think Weis learned a lot each year at ND. Seemed like he would have continued to improve, but that the fan base just wasn't having it anymore.
This is going to be fascinating to watch.
Charlie is a smart guy. I think he will make the necessary adjustments at Kansas and he will have some success. I have no idea what the ceiling is for your Kansas program, but I could see Charlie turning it into a pretty competitive outfit.

I thought the reason he went to Florida was to be with his son? Why would he go back to Kansas?
Charlie Jr transferred to KU an hour before Charlie was introduced as KU's Head Coach.
I feal bad for Weis jr for having to transfer from UF to Kansas. Poor kid.
