He's allegedly the staff's top slot receiver target. If another WR intends to verbal, he may get the same opportunity that Sheldon Day received: commit now or lose your spot.

Pretty darn sure we get one of Payton, Darboh and Thomas... maybe depending on what happens with Agholor (still see him going to USC, but that's just me). Thomas has the ability to play slot or outside... not really an explosive dude but man, his ball skills are so legit. Would be very happy to have him.

first time posting huge irish fan btw but i go to high school with ian and can tell you first hand watching his games he is a very good slot receiver. Even though it's just baltimore county public school league he is always the best player on the field and has the great hands i can't remember a drop pass which means obviously whenever we need a completion you know who we go to. He doesent have great speed but he has enough speed and quickness to burn the defender or outrun him to the endzone

Beats me, but he canceled his OV for the MSU game and he isn't going to make the trip to FedEx field (though he might have a game?).

Winner. He was told to take his spot when it was there if he wanted it... and he decided to wait. I'd say it's almost a mutual slow play at this point. Now it's going to be a waiting game on both sides to see what kind of space is remaining in a month or so. And I think that's a good position to be in.

I trust that if we end up whiffing on everyone else our staff could still make an 11th hour push for Thomas like how Oklahoma did with Okotcha last year.

well i can tell you he was interviewed on our announcements and his top 4 is nd md rutgers and i'm pretty sure vandy. so you guys are probably right about now he has to wait because he lost his chance, but i would also say that they definitely aren't not recruiting him either because then we could easily lose him and seeing him first hand i can tell you we might regret missing out on him. This is just my opionion though and im only in high school so i could be wrong on this since you guys know recruiting more than me
