Folks in the midst of testosterone rushes are always going to get upset, so sorry for the unpleasantness. What I am always hoping for on a thread like this is a discussion and an analysis of otherwise puzzling things. Let's take Ayoola for example:

What if we had zero-d in on the mystery of him being offered by ourselves, and Skip Holtz, and Auburn, but not Miami, Florida, or FSU? That MIGHT lead us to an analysis to the current rosters of the three Florida powers, their styles of RBs as compares to what Kelly might want, their current recruiting targets as compared to Dani, etc. In short, we might have tried to SOLVE the mystery instead of yelling about it. Admittedly, that's a lot harder to do, but far more satisfying to me anyway.

Maybe somebody "out there" already knows some of those answers. Are the Florida powers stacked at RB? Are their schemes oriented to a different type of back? Could therefore Dani be pretty darn good but simply not fit their needs this year? In other words, answers such as this might calm us down about the possible anomalies involved in some of our minds, and reassure us that the Staff knows exactly what it is doing.

I'm just tring to point out that there readers who dont care for off topic thoughts, so don't trail off.

Well there are also readers who don't like having to hear from posters who tell others how to write, especially when that poster has about 10 spelling and grammatical errors themselves in seemingly every single post. If you're going to give advice on how to write, you better be Jim Murray...or at the very least know how to spell/proofread.

See how easy it is to criticize others?

It's really simple. If you don't like the way he writes...DO NOT READ IT. He wasn't off-topic, but you made it out like he was, and in the meantime, derailed the thread. OMM has been around long enough and has enough cred that we all know that he knows how to write, and we all know that we don't need you telling him how to write, or even giving him advice.

Now, I'll leave this up for a while so you can read it, and then I'll delete it so we can get back to the recruit.

In order to "put some time where my mouth is", I spent ten minutes on the net. This will not be very illuminating but it's a start:
1). Phil Steele rates all three of the Florida powers as loaded at running back on their current rosters. They therefore are not in desperation fill-up situations and can be pretty picky.
2). Both Florida and Miami have apparently talked to Ayoola but not tended an offer [at least yet].
3). FSU already has one verbal [Mario Pender], a very highly rated prospect, and are recruiting Keith Marshall, Greg Garmon, and Barry Sanders.
4). Barry Sanders is rated two positions higher on the RB list than Dani Ayoola.
5). Florida already has two verbals at RB [Mike Davis and Matt Jones] and are recruiting people like Keith Marshall, Drew Harris etc.
6). Miami already has one verbal at RB [Randy Johnson] and is in the Keith Marshall lottery along with guys like Harris, Sanders.

Possibly none of this means anything but I'll bet it does. How many RBs do the Florida powers want this cycle, and they all have commitments already and all have loaded rosters. AND all are hoping for Keith Marshall or maybe Barry Sanders.

Ayoola being rated by Rivals essentially at the same level as Sanders says "not chopped liver" to me. Ayoola picking up an offer from Wisconsin also says "not ordinary".

Maybe someone can take this analysis further. It would be interesting to me to read someone's take as to how Ayoola fits Kelly's style of offense when it is actually running Kelly-style.

I knew about Pic but didn't connect, Bill, Jim, nor Chuck Zloch with STA. Thanks

just to be clear-I did not say that Chuck attended STA. He didn't. Chuck went to Ft. Lauderdale HS.
But Bill Z. was the QB at STA when Piccolo was there and graduated from STA.

Hasn't looked very impressive so far but that's just my opinion.

Thats a little harsh IMO. He hasn't looked spectacular either but it seems like every time he gets a handoff his line chooses not to block. He turned a 3 yard loss into a 8 or 9 yard gain one play

It is sort of ironic that you have just mentioned that his line doesn't block well for him. My strongest impression from watching just the first quarter of the game is that HE doesn't like to block either. I suppose that Kelly et al must think that this is readily curable, but although I liked his hole-finding ability, I thought that his "desire for contact" otherwise pretty much ... well ... "disappointed".

He's in line behind Russell and the Marshall's. No way the staff lets him commit ahead of them. That's my guess, anyways.

You guys think the staff told Ayoola and McNamara to reschedule for BC because of the amount of people coming for SC?

Taylor never set up the official for USC weekend it was just talked about. So Dami is the only one moving his back. So no.

According to rivals he visited Illinois last week and only other visit planed is us. I would be ok with taking this kid if the staff is dead set on two rbs this class.

Reminds me of Giovanni Bernard beyond StTA comparison. Based on video he has similar running style, has similar size and is a bit heavier. Similar speed and does well receiving out of backfield.

I approve of any RB with a Wisconsin offer. They definitely know how to turn out RBs, and this kid looks solid on film. Tough runner both inside and out.

Same dimensions as Remound Wright last year.

Plays much better competition with STA.

Looks to be good out of the backfield, plays in a spread, and has some shiftiness.

Would be comfortable with Atkinson III, McDaniel, Mahone, and Ayoola

I like this guys. Plays real tough competition. Obviously, he plays for one of the best programs in the nation (good blocking), but he can also make some people miss or use his arm to pull away. That's a really good backup plan for Marshall.
