To be honest the squirrel he best looks like is Conker...

Conker's Bad Fur Day to this day remains one of my favorite games ever. The remake (Conker: Live and Reloaded) was one of the main reasons I ever bought an Xbox.

At first glance gotta agree with Brian Kelly, because Tony Springmann looks like he's in great shape. Still think he could be a future NG.

Seems rather tall to be a prototypical NG. I kinda worry about his leverage at 6'7" (maybe subtract an inch or so) against interior linemen that are 3-4" shorter than he is.

when you're that tall playing in the interior your height is at your advantage...long arms allow u to get into your defender much quicker than they can get into you. most centers aren't 6'5 6'6 so..i understand your concern about leverage, but from all accounts i've heard he's a decent athlete, especially if he was able to play end.

I will go back to Howie Long: long arms, long trunk, shorter thighs, (didn't Howie call himself an overgrown bridge troll?) If Tony Springman is indeed 6'5", because I have seen him listed two inches taller as often as not, he is almost Howies height. Howie didn't do bad in the middle.

Stupid as this is of me, it is little things like this which add up to a great potential player for me. Why? Big Tony is there laughing at himself. That's the RKG attitude or part of it. I want that sort of young man, who thinks he's not already God's Gift. to show up on my practice field, as he will be ready to be coached. Bless you, big man.

Ya know, there aren't enough tweets from players about taking a dump nowadays.

I keep hearing very good things about this guy...must be a very hard worker and learns quickly, which may help get him on the field.

what a fine game by Mr. Springman against Purdue! This giant is going to stuff a lot of runs in the next 3 years. Reminds me of Igor Olshansky. He was a shining example of next man in when Kap and Day went down.

I couldn't agree more. He looks like a giant orange gorilla out there. Its great to see him finally get on the field and play significant minutes. Granted it was because of injury to KLM, but he still did an outstanding job filling in. Can't wait to see him grow and get better over the next few years. Hes gonna be a beast for opposing lines to handle over the next 4 more years.

I can't help but assume that one of the reasons he did so well was because offensive lineman were scared of his pasty, white skin. Also, not having a soul do him being born of the ginger breed.

kudos for him for going for the midrif exposed Ray Lewis in college style look despite the lack of a 6 pack. Tony's cult hero status will only grow and grow

As will he. I see him topping out at around 310-320. Remember, he was only 240 his junior year when I played with him last. He's been gaining ever since and I think his frame can hold 320 and still play very athletically. He should be very good in the future.
