And YOU'RE better than that too.

;)

Gotcha, dshans. Beat you to the punch.

That you did. You also beat Kneutered Bambi and a number of others. Glad to have you aboard. Our numbers are growing.

Being grammar and spelling overlord is often a daunting and thankless task. I often wonder if it's worth the effort.

(Sniff, sniff.) There is hope!

Now, if we could find out which team Marshall created himself to be on for his NCAA 2012 dynasty, now that'd be some inside info!

Successful troll is successful. I want this kid to go to ND so bad if only because he's trolling so many fanbases.

People read way too much into what these kids say, especially on twitter.

Darby could tweet he is taking a deuce and someone will read a second visit.

Good thing Darby doesn't have an account then. :smilewink

When I first watched Marshall's tape I thought he looked a little skinny and def. not 190. However, I have read that he's bulked up since his junior season ended. They say he is well over 190 now. I have also seen pictures of him running track and he is def. way more built than he was last fall. Sorry if this was a random post lol, just thought I would share what I read the other day.

I'll get it back on track.

There's no recruit I want more out of this 2012 class. Agree?

Marshall will reveal official visits soon

RB Keith Marshall of Raleigh remains one of the most heavily recruited players in the country. But outside of cutting his long list of offers to a dozen, Marshall hasn’t done much with his recruiting lately because of track. “He’s not further narrowed his list nor taken any visits this summer because he’s been running track,” said Millbrook High coach Clarence Inscore. “He’s qualified for the nationals in the hundred.” Clemson and USC [So. Car.] are among his final 12 schools and Inscore said both remain on Marshall’s trail. He said Marshall will announce his five official visits in August and take them during the season. “He has decided on some of those official visits but he’s not said publicly,” Inscore said. “He’s just taking it all in stride.” The rest of Marshall’s 12 are Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Stanford and Southern Cal.

If he is close (being location) to Darby might he not play on saturdays as well? We might get a visit on his off week. Wich is...?

Butch Davis getting fired has to help a little. At the very least our chances go from 1/12 to 1/11...

Yea, now if only Mark Richt could get fired we'd be in good shape. I think Marshall wants to stick around that area. OV is our only chance.

Helps out a pretty decent amount... Definitely knocks one school out.

Does it?

Not so sure it knocks UNC out all together. It may drop them down the list or it may knock them out all together but that's not always the case. Take into consideration the number of kids (Including Odenigbo) still considering OSU even after the departure of Tressell and all their issues. It has a lot to do with who takes over for Butch Davis. What if they promote the running backs coach to head coach to finish out the year?

My point is that so many things can happen. Different things go through the mind of an 18 year old kid. I wouldn't cross UNC of the list just yet.

Since he is a North Carolina native, he may be attached to the school, rather than the coach. Otherwise, its going to be a hard sell considering the future is totally unknown.

I wonder if this is a job Gus Malzahn would take?

It's looking like O$U is going to get off easy though. That is definitely not the case with UNC. O$U keeps kids interested out of the simple fact that it is a top-five program in the country. North Carolina plays basketball and until Butch Davis didn't know a pigskin from a hole in the ground.

I agree with this....
Think about how many recruits Mr. Kelly kept in the transition of the Weis era.. (whom Weis recruited, talked to, got to know, etc, etc...)
Sometimes a kid just wants to go to a school for the school.
I'm not saying this the case for Marshall, but you cannot rule it out

Kelly also lost a lot of the best ones (as well as gained a couple really good ones, to be fair) like Blake Lueders and Giovanni Bernard.

You're absolutely right!
On the whole though, the class that we were able to bring in during that coaching/staff transition.. Well it was very fortunate.

My only point was... It has been done before, and it may be the case that Marshall is just flat out sold on UNC, or perhaps Butch's successor can salvage his recruitment.

Just trying to be objective with everything

Not to nitpick, but UNC had consecutive top-5 finishes Mack's last 2 years there-- and had multiple 1st round draft picks (especially on defense, and multiple 2nd, 3rd round guys) those 2 years as well. True, UNC is a b-ball first school, but they've been competitive and have had players there for a while.
