If anything i see the "cali 5" going to Cal. Treggs isn't interested in Michigan and neither is Shaq.

Yea, when I read another article mentioning it it seemed to be based more on the "Cali 5".

Yeah can anyone clarify the "Cali 5". I just want to be clear.

Treggs-Payton-Shaq-Shittu-(Adams/Murphy/Simmons/Armstead?)

I just read the article on another Treggs' thread.

But it didn't give the fifth - Treggs-Shaq-Adams-Payton-"a lot of guys"

If these guys are serious about the Cali 5 (I'm not sold on it) ND would have to pass on this group because it would put them over their limits for secondary and WR

hmm interesting. Really wouldn't mind them all going to Cal to keep them away from Stanford or SC. Truth be told there are a lot of guys for the slot better than Treggs, Payton/Shaq/Adams have all shown only flirting interest in ND, and Shittu doesn't have an offer. All of those guys appear to be great players but if they aren't going to come to ND I'd much rather they go to someone we don't play.

I have a hard time buying that there are actually 5 guys all legitimately banning together like that to go to college though.

SIAP, but I just found this blurb on Payton in an ESPN article about Keyshawn Johnson's 1925 Productions.

Now without a leader, Payton said he does have an idea of schools that could be leaders listing Michigan, California, Arizona State, Notre Dame and Oklahoma as continders for postseason official visits.

Sounds like we're definitely on his short list.

They're all going to Cal. Payton, Treggs, Shittu, Thompson and Adams. Bank on it.

I'd be OK with that, honestly. As long as they stay away from USC, Michigan, and Stanford.

Theres a few members that could be part of the last member of the Cali 5.....I think Adams ends up at Oregon. Oregon has Anthony Gildon up there at CB, same high school. Gildon was in Clausens class I believe.

Payton Officially Open

Payton said a report of him having three favorites at this point, which didn’t include Notre Dame, wasn’t accurate.

“I hear from Notre Dame two or three times a week,” he said. “The schools that I hear from the most I’d say are Michigan, Florida, Cal, (Arizona State), Notre Dame and Oklahoma. Those are the schools I’m really focusing on right now.”

“Me and Tee Shepard were talking about it and Deontay Greenberry,” said Payton. “I like what they have to say about stuff. I’ve only heard good things about Notre Dame, so I’m excited.

“They just kept saying how much of a great guy Coach (Mike) Denbrock was and how they’re going to win national championships at Notre Dame.”

It's awesome having 5 commits up at The Opening working it with other recruits. They have seen the campus and know the same coaches they can potentially influence others and/or get others off the fence.

This has to be wrong. Savon Huggins said Rutgers would be winning national championships at this time....

Trying to set up an official visit for guess which game if he can't make an unofficial. Says he here from ND two or three times a week. Really likes what ND offers.

a blowout win for the Irish, under the lights could yield us more in one day, than all of the staffs recruiting efforts the rest of the year.

I asked this on another thread already, but how many WRs is the staff willing to take this year? I've heard upwards of 5 or 6 for this class. Is that pretty close?

We'll land one more outside receiver and a slot receiver and call it a day.
