Am I the only one who is not impressed about his highlight video? Im sure there is something about him if he has that kind of offer list. But I don't think he received all those offers based off his film.

I didn't think he looked great on that highlight film either. Perhaps it's just not a good highlight film, IDK. There's some kids where you could see any random 2 minute clip and you can tell they are studs. I just wasn't wowed by his.

When he first mentioned ND as #1 and then put out a short list of ALA, OSU, ND, MIA, TCU, AUB,FSU and UF, I took it that ND was just filling out his dance card. Three week later he's still got ND #1.

With ND as his leader going into that Nike camp I expected to hear a bunch of news about interplay between him and the Gang of 5. Did I miss it or wasn't there any?

"My favorites are Florida State, Alabama, TCU, Notre Dame and Ohio State," said T.J. Davis. "I am not sure when I will make a decision. I will probably decide after I take a few official visits.

"I narrowed it down to those schools a couple weeks ago. They are all equal. I don't have a favorite. The ones recruiting me the hardest are Florida State, Alabama and Ohio State."

Davis discussed what he will consider when making a final decision.

"When I start going on these official visits I am going to look at the chemistry between the players and coaches," he said. "I am going to check out the environment and the school. I want to look at the way the team plays defense."

Davis will travel to Tuscaloosa this weekend.

"I am going to Alabama's camp on Sunday," he said. "It's a three day camp, but I am just going for one day. I think Alabama is a great school. They are all about education. Coach Saban is a defensive coach who can get you to the NFL.

"Alabama has been telling me they need cornerbacks. They didn't recruit many last year. They have two seniors leaving after this year, plus a junior who will likely leave early. I have a great relationship with coach Jeremy Pruitt. I call him and ask him certain tips that will help me in my coverages."

A 5-minute internet search would expose that statement for the joke it is. I'll never understand why so many recruits don't bother to verify the bullsh!t these coaches are selling.

I truly don't think we ever really were. I could be wrong (would love to be), but this has always just seemed to me as a situation where the recruit was telling each reporter what they wanted to hear. My thought was further reinforced by the lack of noted attention he got from the 5 ND recruits at The Opening when they were plainly recruiting any prospect they knew had significant interest in the Irish (props to BGIF for first noting this). When he comes to South Bend I will start to believe him, but until that point, I remain skeptical on T.J.

Or they do know the truth but Alabama just offers something alittle extra, but it wouldn't be smart to come out and say that.

lol whenever says "school XYZ that is really bad at education is where I want to go because of their focus on academics" you know that's where they're leaning because no objective person thinks "academics" when they see Alabama.
