Why not keep him in the backfield at that point? These speed/finesse guys will always benefit from a change-of-pace bruiser, no?
Its probably because he's so tall, but his stride looks so long and he does not look particualrly quick (he's obviously fast considering his 40 time). He also does not protect the ball all the time.
HOWEVER, there are very few running backs that run with a true, bona-fide mean-streak. This kid looks like he takes getting tackled very personally and his speed and strength make it look painful to try. I love watching his tape! Whereas Hughes and Gray both had to be motivated to run through people (God love them both), that would clearly no be an issue here. He has a little bit of the Bus in him in that regard. He seems to pursue and tackle with the same intensity.
As long as this is a good kid (and the offer suggests he is), I want a kid like this practicing on my team, regardless of who ends up playing. Sign him up!
