This makes me smile.
Any chance we maybe get a senior from USC? Im sure they have at least1 guy we can make a call to.
Can someone explain this to me?
How does SC have 30 signees... No way 15 are non-scholarship

This puts a smile on my face. Hope we can snag a recruit or two from the condoms.
This is classic worth the read..

I told you the appeal would fail.

SC message boards are freaking hilarious. So many people bashing Haden... when what they don't realize is that Mike Garrett's incompetence and arrogance is of equal blame with Reggie Bush for the fact that they have significant sanctions at all.

I warned you about Pat Haden.
I told you the appeal would fail. I warned you that Haden would do whatever was in the interest of the University of Notre Dame. Ask him for yourself at the next rubber chicken event if he ever said he wished he would have gone to Notre Dame.
Can you name ONE thing that he has done since he slithered his way into the athletic director position that has benefited USC and not benefited the french whores? Let me remind you, any time a rodent like Haden publicly claims he doesn't want the job, it really means that it is his lifelong goal to obtain the position.
. . . . . . .
Is Dan Weber a professional writer, or a fan? Does he sit at his "news desk" with his face painted maroon and gold? What an incredibly whiny, excuse-making piece of fanboy "journalism." Dude should be embarrassed.
Even before USC beefed up its compliance dept, we were close to the model in compliance, and now that the compliance dept is beefed up, the NCAA should look at USC as THE program for other programs to model after.
A USC poster over on Rivals told me that with the sanctions, USC can bring in a maximum of 9 recruits this year.
[M]y favorite was this diddy:

He says these types of things EVERY WEEK! I can't wait to tune in to next week's podcast! (They are on Mondays.)

Oh shi-... Daaaaaad!
The Trojans already have eight players committed to join next year's class, per various reports, with one -- top local lineman Max Tuerk -- giving his verbal commitment on Wednesday morning, in fact. That leaves only seven open spots for the maximum 15-player class, per NCAA-mandated restrictions that will now come into play next season and stay active until 2015.
Also beginning next season is a 75-man overall scholarship limit for the roster, which will make for even more squeezing. As of this writing, to our best guess, USC plans to have 82 players on scholarship next season, with 58 spring-roster players, 21 newcomers and one returner (receiver Brice Butler).
Only 13 of those players will exhaust their eligibility in 2011, giving USC 69 scholarship players for the 2012 season plus a new class of newcomers -- and they must somehow fit that into the 75-man limit.
You were misinformed. Nobody knows, as that seems to be a fluid number (depending on transfers, guys that suddenly went from underachievers to career-ending injuries LOL, etc.). Stay tuned on that one...
Can they really push up to 9 kids out the door in order to max out the 2012 class at 15?
Who is to stop them? The NCAA used all of its balls on these sanctions. Would it be unbecoming? Sure. Have we seen any evidence that USC (or the NCAA) would give a damn? I haven't.
I wasn't implying that they could be stopped, but nine seems like an awful lot to push out the door in a single year. I know this shady crap happens all the time in the SEC, but we're talking about a number that's roughly half of an average-sized full recruiting class. Surely USC would get crucified in the court of public opinion for such behavior.
And would Haden even allow it?
Justice is a dish best served cold.
Thanks baby Jesus!
It isn't pushing 9 out the door, they might have 2-3 early entries, 1-2 normal transfers so you are only talking about 4-6 career ending injuries/pushed out the door to get to 15
