A) What if CAM McD turns out to be the real deal?
B) What if we get the best out of C and J?
C) What if Kelly turns this football thing on its ear, ear and runs a three tight end set with one or two wings? Kind of like the old double wing only faster . . . with bigger, meaner, stronger guys . . .

Me too, (I was just trying to dispel the standard gloom and doom.) This year affords our recruiters a few luxuries. Did they know this last year and the year before. I maintain that there are about a dozen OL this year that are better than Henderson was two years ago, and there wasn't a RB available to ND good enough to hold Marshall's jock strap. If you all agree, and this was the conscious thought of our recruiting staff, that makes them pretty dagnabed smart, doesn't it? Well then, they may just be smart enough to turn what they got into elite performers. (H. Smith back through Cinci (an All-Pro DE for the Texans, to Central Michigan and a certain left tackle . . )

He came for a game and didn't get the attention he was looking for. At this time many people also thought we were on the inside track for Huggins and Carlisle. There were all kinds of articles out there about it and the coaches straight up told Hayes they were going to keep recruiting other guys. So after getting no love at the visit he felt insecure, got all angry pants and then flipped to Michigan.

It's a shame that this guy couldn't appreciate the transparency and honesty of that. Afterall, it's the lack of exactly that that helped get us Lynch back from FSU.

anybody see his top 5 on scouts????

Can't read the article, but I don't know if it's a top 5. Judging by the "interest" section right below he has 12 schools of interest and Notre Dame is one of them. Assuming a good visit (looking at you weather gods...) I'd expect us to make his top 5 with the usual suspects. Should be an interesting battle of money handshakes vs. Notre Dame for both Darby and Marshall.

It's the same top 12 listed in his scout profile. Look at the bottom it's the 12 schools with medium interest.

Quite an imposing list. North Carolina and Alabama scare me. Heard he was high on Georgia, which is questionable for me after they got Crowell but who knows. South Carolina and Clemson are wildcards.

He really didn't eliminate anyone that had a legitimate shot in the first place. All the bagmen are still alive.

I definitely agree with this.

This list isn't exactly big news...or news at all for that matter. LMK when he's down to 3 and we're in it ;0)
