CW haters shut the F'up already

All the CW haters can f-off. The more smack they talk only gets the anti-ND media outlets to start with their BS and next thing you know there is a precieved "coach on the hot seat" issue. When young HS juniors and seniors hear that BS or other coaches (Pete the Poodle) put it in their heads they think "Why go to ND when the coach is about to be fired".
The damn team is on the up swing and just took the number 6 team in the nation to the wire and these clowns want to ride Charlie out on a rail. Teams give up on their coaches when they think they are not worth fighting for. These men have not given up on CW. Matter of fact they fight for him. SC was about to blow them out and yet they fought back and were one play away from tying it up. It is clear the team is behind their coach and it's high time the haters get on board or go away.

Any ND fan that has been around for a while, knows that we have come to expect NC's. and to be in the hunt almost every year. We can wake up the echoes but not by jumping from coach to coach. Not very long ago Paterno had a bad year and he has returned his team to respectibility. But I believe this team not only could, but would beat Penn State this year if they played. We were all proud of our team with Quinn, McKnight, Smardja, then we basically lost the whole team to graduation. Yes, the 3 win season was humiliating and not what we have come to expect from our beloved team. A worse season record that Faust ever had, but in contrast, we are rebounding. We are better, last year's team was better than 07 and this years team is better than last years team, We are not on a plateau as was the case in the Faust's era. We have overcome humiliation before; both in games and seasons. I remember watching a game where we dominated the 1st half and led 24-6 in what appeared to be a runaway. It was a runaway in the wrong direction final score USC 55-24. We survived, (I wanted to strangle Jim Lampley) When I was young I went to bed with Clememts pictures from the newspaper on my wall, sleeping with my football. That continued into HS with Montana pictures. I will never give up on this team, and I don't think it is time to give up on the coach. He has made some mistakes, I am sure he would tell you that himself. I don't coach but I have made some mistakes in my profession as well, some much bigger than others. But I am still very good at what I do.

Amen! The absolute worst thing for our program would be to loose CW. Fans need to realize that coaching stability is a good thing and turning a program around doesn't happen over night.

I personally don't think we can be beat next year! Why would you fire your coach if fans think this way?

This is the best ND team that I have seen in my lifetime, the defense is not as good as some in year's past but they fight!

Agree with the posts. We are 2 plays away from being 6-0 and ranked in the top 10. CW can't help it when Kamara slips or a few other plays that were so close don't go our way. We have yet to get many breaks out there this year. We have demostrated heart in every game and as was mentioned these kids will not quit on CW. I think if ND continues to play well this year we have a huge year recruiting and the momentum continues. I don't want to make alot of excuse for CW but 07 was a result of Ty's declining recruiting efforts and 08 we came close in alot of games but I think we did well to get the wins that we had. If Floyd doesn't get hurt this year we are 6-0.

Yea.. I wouldn't beat my house on college football but I'll beat that Phork lives one only ass life. Always negative and starting arguements with ones opinions. Yea, he doesn't have a girlfriend, let alone a wife.. And if he does, I feel sorry for her having to deal with him.

You and Bert need to take a step back and stop being so harsh. Phork has been around here for a while and he is not a hater. I'm sick and tired of every time someone points out a flaw or weakness in our team they are labeled haters and called negative. Well guess what I happen to agree with some of the things he posts and I've also heard him say some very positive things about ND. Just because everybody doesn't blindly follow this team and question nothing, give you or anybody the right to question their loyalty to ND. It's ok to get upset from time to time and I for one am getting sick of only beating teams that have losing records. I will always be a ND fan and I expect to win EVERY game but it doesn't mean we can't have an honest talk about our teams problems to.

he got banned for 72 hours for making a comment about Weis' weight....while he was seemingly boasting about the USC win when it was 34-14.

If you want to keep doing the coaching carousel. Take a look at another traditional football power, Nebraska. They have been swapping coaches like I swap underwear. It has turned them into a consistent MEDIOCRE.
CW has a solid plan is working it and we are progressing. He is recruiting with the elite. His offensive identity is stable. He will have a defensive ID in about one more year when our troops are mature. He is an ND guy who understands the University.

Trust me, we might do better in a new hire, but we could also do MUCH worse.

Here is how we've been doing the last fifteen years:

1. Bob Davie (usually averaged about six or seven wins a year)
2. Ty Willingham (gets the cream of the crop of Davie's recruiting and looks like the man, then quickly puts Notre Dame in a huge hole)
3. Charlie Weis (Does very well with Ty's terrible recruiting classes, fields a high school all-star team in 2007, manages a pretty decent season with a very inexperienced team, and is competing with USC again by his fifth year).

I think Charlie's the man.

You gotta let chuck do his thing guys.....I want to win as much as each and every one of you do REALLY I do but we cant keep the revolving door going round and around with new head coaches just because its been 5 years and we havent won a National championship. The foundation is being poured here. We will loose some big games, but in the long run Charlie is going to get us there and we will all be looking back at this after our Dominance is reestablished and be thinking maybe we were a little hard on Chuck ! keep the faith guys it will happen.All you guys are great in here the posts make me think more..then ever before about ND Football sometimes I get crazy when i see some posts but I can understand why. Believe in Charlie Weis he will get us there. Firing him might make you feel good but set our BUILDING program back. Recruits will leave........we have seen it before. WE DONT NEED THIS .

I didn't say anything bad about Phork, I just posted that he is negative. I didn't say he was a hater either. I have seen him post some positive things but mostly negative stuff. I don't blindly follow ND. I just don't ever think they will lose a game til the game is over. I am a positive thinker. I have criticized a lot of Weis's calls over the years and in a couple of posts about this last game.
