Gentlemen, Staff Kelly knows what it's doing. The top two-thirds of our current commits are *!! STELLAR !!*. I have liked this particular young man from day one. The earlier concern about us getting some help for Manti should be no concern----Calabreese, Shembo, Moore, Spond, Rabasa, Councell, Grace----these guys are going to be something special. I hope Ishaq comes---but if he doesn't, we are still, in the words of a certain lamented de-commit, "gunna be Beast!!!"

Grace Ready to Work

Grace’s favorite part of the experience was the opportunity to play with future teammates Brad Carrico, Eilar Hardy, and Kyle Brindza. “It was a blast playing with them,” Grace exclaimed. “Just to see their skill and see how we might gel in the future. We put an Irish decal on our helmets, which was cool. Brad brought them down there for us.”

Here is a pic of them with the decals

From a BGI article talking about which younger players are impressing the staff:

“The young corners are getting better, Brown and Atkinson,” Kelly said. “I really like the way they’re progressing. (And Mike linebacker) Jarrett Grace.”

Jarrett Grace is going to be an absolute stud at ND. Write it down, in pen.

Here is the piece on Grace from the ISD freebie IrishMan3 posted.

“He’s going to be awesome, he really is,” Diaco said, gushing with praise for his freshman linebacker. “He’s a werewolf, he really is. He’s got it all. Smart, big, tough, aggressive, fast, demonstrative, communicator, he’s going to be a beast.”

Diaco continued to heap praise on Grace without any prodding.

“It’s because he’s got the whole package,” continued the Notre Dame linebackers coach. “He’s aggressive, nasty, loves football, loves this place (Notre Dame), demonstrative communicator, runs fast, large body, hard worker.”

I almost shed a tear.

Jesus, Diaco said that? He usually holds his tongue on hyping up players.

Damn Jarrett must be nasty.

He has the name for it too. You can just hear the ferocity in Jarrett Grace, its a linebacker name.

He was still listed as 240 at the start of fall camp. I imagine by the time spring rolls around that he'll have added some weight.

Diaco described everything you'd want in an inside linebacker. Teo's heir? Luke Kuechley-like? Let's hope so.

Not sure I'd want Grace to get any heavier. Size hasn't been a problem for our LB corps, but speed has.
