1st off there is no gaurantee Moore can get into ND

2nd Lyons has more upside and embodies everything ND stands for

He may have dropped us but the staff should still be trying to get this kid

He will probably end up at stanford.

Yeah I agree, he had a good visit out there and was high on their school as well as the direction the football program is going. You can't blame him if that is the school he chooses because it is a good school academically and their football program is very much improved and is making alot of noise right now.

I would be surprised if Harbaugh is there after next year. Unless recruits are pretending not to know this...it may affect some kids decisions.

Where would he go? My original thought would me UM... but Harbaugh runs a pro set and UM has players for a spread set. He might go to the 49ers I guess. I think his best option is to stay at Stanford, especially with recruits not looking at USCwest as hard as normal.

I could easily see Harbaugh staying at Stanford. I think he has built a nice program out there in a relatively short period of time. He should enjoy the fruits of that labor a little longer, unless something HUGE comes up and I honestly don't know what that would be. I think he would have some difficulties at Michigan as will anyone that would coach there.., at least in the short term. There is alot of fixing up there to do on the defensive side of the ball, so I honestly cant see Harbaugh fleeing a good thing at Stanford to try and fix the problems up at Ann Arbor.

Harbaugh is a stud. Fear Harbaugh. That being said, I hope we beat the p i s s oput of Stanford next year!

To Johnny: CORRECT!! And Harbaugh said, "Fee Fie Foe Fum; I smell the Blood of an Irish-mun"....getting him out of Stanford AND Michigan would make me feel a LOT "safer". Fear Harbaugh. Yes. Dam* guy recruits like Hel* too.

Harbaugh grew up in Palo Alto.

His Dad was the coach at San Jose State. He has more roots in the Bay Area than in MI. What he has done at Stanford is really impressive. I think he either stays at Stanford or goes to the NFL.

No doubt, Luck is special. But the ball coach at Stanford is special too. I have a lot of respect for what Stanford has done. I appreciate the rivalry we have with them, as I see two programs that work to do it right, regardless of the recent distractions we've had recently concerning our program.

Toby Gerhart last year, Andrew Luck this year, next year another leader will emerge. They have been getting better and better. 11-1 is gonna be tough for them to achieve again, but good for them.

Back to Wayne Lyons: I really like this kid, but he doesn't seem to have the interest for us to me, and you gotta hope these kids get good educations. Lyons at Stanford would suck only one Saturday a year. Should Harbaugh go elsewhere, we may be right back in the mix though.

I agree with you...., it will simply be the next man up at Stanford next year. They are a solid football team and their coach is darned good. Harbaugh will get the next quarterback ready for sure. I like Jim Harbaugh from his days as playing for the Colts. We used to call him Captain Comeback. Well he has brought up the Stanford program in an admireable fashion and he did it the right way. I also have alot of respect for our rivalry with them and I see it only getting better in the future.

I always remember how good and tough he played against the Steelers in the AFC championship game...They nearly got that hailmarry at the end of the game.

Wayno, we need depth in the secondary. I really wish you would reconsider.

If Luck is gone next year, we should see the **** beat out of Stanford. That kid is a stud of a QB.

I highly doubt we beat the **** out of Stanford while Harbaugh is at the helm. Andrew Luck is amazing but Stanford has brought in some good recruiting classes and is in the top 10 again this year and the favorite for Wayne Lyons and others.

I don't believe Lyons ever stated that Stanford was at the top of his list.. or did I miss something? He had a good visit last weekend but doesn't every recruit say that after every visit?

I think that yes every recruit normally will say they had a good/solid visit. However, he visited with current Stanford recruits and started a very solid bond with a few of them along with Miles Shuler. Perhaps, it is premature to say that they are the favorite but yes they are one of his finalists. C. Rice had a big impact on his family who made the trip to the west coast with Lyons (according to Lyons and pictures on his fbook). As I have said in this thread, Auburn has a solid pipeline to where Lyons attends highschool and Florida is still very much in the mix.

I could see him going to the Bills. They also need a QB. Easy chance for him and Luck to go there so they both are more comfortable.
