Crazy I just read two days ago that he "strengthened his commitment." Oh well, I really care more about the defensive studs we've got coming in.

This is a loss for sure... he has one of the most impressive offer lists you will ever see from a ND committ and you can NEVER have too many stud bookends... must either hit him hard and get him back (historically almost impossible when a kid decoms on you) or fill that spot with someone else near his ability.

Well we have a lot of strength on the offensive line but this still hurts. Although it does open up another spot. Maybe BK knew something we didnt and thats where the recent offer to Martin came into play?

Well, crud. I thought he was rock solid. I guess you never know, maybe we'll still get him. I really liked him as our future OT.

Doubtful, something reeks of Urban Meyer. He didn't just come out and say that he was going to take more visits but was still committed to Notre Dame. He flat out decommitted. Gio Bernard anyone?

I know this has nothing to do with Prestwood's thread, but Meyer is an ungrateful piece of ****. I hope there is a layer of Hell dedicated to people who stab Notre Dame in the back.

Random thoughts:this seems to me to stink royally, as Prestwood was/is very highly regarded by everybody as a talent with a mean streak on the field. Pure speculation, but he used to be a tight end---maybe that's what he really wants to be?? More pure speculation: he "dislocated his hand" about four weeks ago. How bad was that?? Supposedly kept him out of action. Does he see life more rewarding a little bit outside the war-trenches ?? I.E. is anyone offering him as a TE?? And maybe he's reading our depth chart and Hegarty's press clippings too concernedly. Lots could be going on---would be nice to hear what it was. Everything I've read earlier says "get him back" but that IS probably why we're pursuing Martin, Jr and Richardson if he's still available.

It sucks but I'm not worried. Kelly really seams to be able to recruit the o-line well..

Hegarty is the "big fish" on the o-line this year. We already have interest from some high quality kids for next years class as well. Its never good to lose a recruit but if it happened anywhere, o-line was where we could afford it right now. Best wishes for Jordan at whatever Florida school he ends up at.

Agreed.

We have got to keep Lynch & Co. on board... we are strong at OL and our defensive front 7 will be RIDICULOUS if we keep the class we've got together.

My main concern with Prestwood de-committing is he was the guy who kept in contact with all of the other recruits in this class. He worked at keeping the recruits on board, so how does it look to them now if he's jumping ship?

Prestwood has HUGE upside and was a good recruiter for us. He says we are still high on his list and he wanted to look around some more but i doubt he ends up at ND. I hope i am wrong but its tough to see.

Is this what caused the tremor that we felt with Lynch last week? Kinda makes sense FSU has now popped up both times. Whatcha think?

He wants to stay cose to home, but believe me its something about these Florida schools that bugs the crap out of me. He really does love Notre Dame though, its ashame. If I werent moving to South Bend, Aaron would stay here in Florida, he told me that yesterday.
