we can lose to other teams and have a great season... we can not lose to this team and have a great season imo... and it sounds like many here agree with me there... let's just hope the players are reading all this stuff and getting overly stressed and or amped.

Yeah they are making him sound like Bo Jackson from tecmo bowl. He's good dont get me wrong and I think he's gonna have a helluva day against us unfortunately. I just think once the big ten games start, he's not gonna be as good.

Desmond Howard pointed out all the flaws in Michigans defense and showed how terrible they were and then picked the Wolverines. hmmm?? I love the hatred that everyone has for us. I also like how Michigan went from a 6-6 team to a 9-3 team and D. Robinson is the "most dynamic player in college football." Really?? We'll find out what are defense is all about today!!

One thing we showed last week was discipline - good wrapping-up on tackling and no penalties on offense or defense (I think the 2 we got were both on special teams)
If, if, if we have the same discipline today, we are in for a good game and good win..

If we lose to this team two years in a row (sorry there is no excuse here.... talent wise we win by wide margins currently)... then there may be something systemically wrong somewhere...
I just can't figure out how a group with this talent can't deliver with consistency... hopefully this is the first of many games that proves that eraof ND football is behind us... this is really a huge statement for this core of players... maybe the biggest until SC. Serious put up or shut up time.

I couldnt agree with you more. We have to win the games that we should win. On paper we are by far the better team. I know thats why you play the game and anything can happen in a rivalry game but we need to win this damn football game. Last week was nice for BK but this is the real statement game in my mind. Its time for us to show up and take care of buisness. This is way more than just a 2-0 start, this is an early season defining moment on so many levels. This game is big for momentum, RECRUITING, and for making a statement to the nation that BK and the Irish are for real.

There was something systemically wrong last year...and that has been corrected. 5th year coach, 3yr starter at QB, etc......that loss was unacceptable. A win this year will be a nice surprise and perhaps a telling sign of better days ahead.

just for the record this is exactly what people said at this time last year...
It's not that I don't believe... BK is recruiting well and his trck record is proven, we'll be back... but I am tired of counting chickens before the eggs are even laid... as far as this season goes... time to prove it... today.
