IIRC, didn't Taylor want the royal from ND but Gino and Denbrock never pressed for him? He still looks small.

How many of these guys could ND have signed, had they pressed? Taylor, Crouched, Borque.

it is funny because Croucher is originally from my area. He faced some of the most dog shit competition. Made a wise business move to get out of upstate NY football

I'd be pretty shocked if they take more than one more, unless Glover or Roman I want to hop on board before Satele or Henderson decide. Most likely scenario to me is they saw Fox outgrowing LB and turning into an edge, not gonna take him with Vaughn on board now while waiting on Sesay and Fak.

I know this is dumb since it’s never been considered but if we got Sessay and Fakatou, Vaughn at LB? Again obviously not but when we were going ham on DEs early I wondered if any saw that as option.

Old pal EJ did his best to avoid any mention of ND but Henderson went out of his way to say, when asked about the contrast between A&M and Miami:

“I’m not going to make an emotional decision,” Henderson said. “I want to be 100 percent sure. That’s why I’m taking these official visits. I’m not going to be a guy that commits to decommit. I know when I make a decision, it will be a firm decision. Everybody keeps forgetting about Notre Dame. That’s a school I’m high on. I’m just taking it day-by-day.

To me the headline to the story vs what Henderson says above is misleading.

ND knows something, Henderson knows something and ND cancelled Sean Fox's visit??

Seeing the recruiting board, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a smaller class relatively speaking around 23 or 24. They’re going to probably need a bigger portal class with the expected departures so don’t hate it

Looking at:
WR: 1-2
OL: 0-1
DL:1-3
LB: 1-2
DB: 0-1

So worst case 21, best case probably 24 or 25

Assume they’ll make a big push for Segun Alexander if Parks is off the board. Offers from essentially everyone and probably a higher upside but not the immovable gap plugger Brayden is.

If you take the Loy update at face value, Jones and Sesay bring the class to around 285 on the composite with just 20 recruits. The top end quality of this class is unprecedented for ND even compared to last year, and that 285 is number is way lower than it should be for the way they treated the reclassification of Monds and Vaughn

I guess I should’ve just said there wasn’t any new good news in the update. Anyone that pays attention to recruiting knows we are in great shape for Jones and Sessay.

The Parks update is pretty frustrating. I know they landed Folorunsho, but Notre Dame struggling to land kids from Chicago will always be a head scratcher. Especially when they’re already at a Catholic school.

Here is my take: Falorunsho type players are very rare in Chicago. Probably 2 every 5 cycles. You can get Parks level players consistently.

Of the two, i know who was a bigger must get

We got 3 guys left on the LB board. Need 1, would take two if Henderson is one. If they see Fox growing into a DE, we will have 3 DEs in this class better than him
