Couldn't ask for a better finish... That finish would be absolutely insane and easily a top 3 class, probably top 2.
Maybe the addition of Igwebuike would be nice if Irvin decommits.

Sure but that's the nature of hunting big game. I will be stunned if Marcus Freeman doesn't close on a vast majority of those guys. We will not lose out on a single one of those guys because of NIL, that's a certainty.

Not yet, I think Lucero and McNamara along with Ty Winn have all said they are coming, plus big time RB Jernigan from Missouri, I think Singer said the list would be out this week once he confirms everyone

Gophers are no joke for safety production. They have claim to three current starting safeties in the NFL: Tyler Nubin, Antoine Winfield Jr., and Eric Murray. That’s as many as UGA has and more than those other schools. Less than Safety U with Hamilton, Watts, Gilman, and Super Bowl champion Julian Love though…

My concern is specific to this class. Gay COULD play safety but will probably be a NB. We need another safety in this class. Since you brought up our current roster, I'm pretty sure JOB is the only recruit from last year's class who is currently a safety. Pouncey is playing CB and Reddish is a NB.

tae isn't 100% a lock to go pro, wyoming could come back, Long could come back, JOB could be back. We need to add a safety for sure. But it isn't panic mode yet

Just to be clear, I really like Hyppolite as a safety prospect and would be glad to have him in this class. I do wonder if he's a realistic get for us. And if we don't get him, then who do we pivot to?

I don't think anyone is forgetting the portal. Per MF, it's just not something ND wants to rely on. High-level contributors tend to cost more in the portal and could affect team chemistry.

I highly doubt ND would go to the portal for a QB, I know you said maybe, but I think it is a pretty solid "no." They will have a 4-way competition between some pretty talented QB next year. That would be an awful look for ND to land all of those players behind Carr and just go to the portal.
