2025-2026 ND Basketball Thread

I don’t think there’s enough talent on this roster to worry about blowing it up, and I didn’t see any thing during conference play that made me really feel like we need to give it another year.

This. We suck now. How could it really get worse?

Was hoping BC would be a favorite but can’t touch this game w/ two shitty teams. ND always plays horribly at BC & the Eagles always play above their heads when hosting ND. ND should win which means they will lose by 10.

No real money to be won taking either team so I took Pitt to upset SU. At the time, ND had a 9 pt lead so I thought, “Of course ND will win this and then Pitt will upset SU to keep them out of the tourney”. Now that ND blew it, I’m sure Pitt will get smoked.

This. We suck now. How could it really get worse?

We lose Towt. He’s not great, but he’s the only guy that plays with any physicality at all with the possible exception of Harrison.

This team is extremely soft.

This is irrelevant but play the what if game with me since the season is over.

What is their record with just Burton healthy?
What is their record with Burton healthy AND Tae Davis doesn’t transfer?

One of the worst seasons I can ever remember of ND basketball. This team literally just seemed to get worse as the season went on. I know, Burton got hurt...usually when your star player gets hurt, that means other players get better....They might not win as much...but other players get better...just didn't happen. Total loser mentality that just festered game after game...That's on the coach!

Looking back, I think this might’ve been the worst power conference job in America 3 years ago. It took a 7-year deal to get Shrews to come. The last 6 years of Brey were terrible (1 play in team), he killed the program (and it remains dead). The roster was the worst in almost all of D-1 consisting of Matt Zona - 1 player.

I’m usually overly positive and he didn’t have to do much for me to be think he deserved all the time. But, he’s played his regime onto the hot seat for next year. It’s actually worth it to portal this year - there’s a roster now, (I think big game portal hunting the last few years would’ve been a waste of money) if it fails this upcoming cycle, yikes. If they have attrition - he’s cooked already.

For next year, like Sanderson. We will see what the Mongolian can do. Should be a good project. His other son is not a D1 guy at this point. Honestly, not the best player on his own team. In on some good guys for the following class.
