So, I guess "Freedom" Twitter is working out pretty well, eh?

As a quick aside (regardless of the man's politics as I don't care one way or another), Elon has allowed Twitter/"X" to become a slop factory. Tons of AI and/or India/Bangladesh based accounts that are grifts or just pure garbage. If you refuse to pay for a bluecheck you'll randomly just get all of your engagement throttled for a few days, etc. I don't do any other social media and I use twitter for memes, sports news, etc., but it's getting hard to stay there.

Like 1-on-1? No one else in the room? ... Ol' boy terminated a million dollar, state employee, for breach of contract, by himself... I guess.

Depending on policy, it will probably just be a "bad decision" because at-will makes its hard to screw up terminations, even in these circumstances. But those dead-eyed drones in HR exist so you don't fuck up employment actions. If the termination was the culmination of an investigation, termination process should have been planned in advance. If 1-on-1 was the plan... that's a lot of trust.
