Amen brother. Embrace the hate! That's how you know Notre Dame is really back. People bitched and whined back in the day when we were kicking ass. Enjoy it.

It will be pretty obvious if they’re having a say in the game since ND just came off a penalty free game without ACC refs and Pitt is literally 4th worst in the FBS for penalties per game. They average 8.4 a game!Officials are my primary concern. They can kill drives, reverse momentum on game-changing plays, extend opponent drives all depending on how they feel like calling the game Saturday. We've taken their best shots and largely been unphased (aside from TAMU loss) but this looks like an evenly matched game on paper. I'll be hyper-attuned to how they call the game.

I always knew I liked youPennsylvania? It has given us trillions of great things. I'll pick two: Hershey's chocolate and Joe Montana.
Telling me to capitalize gray's last name to Gray is the closest you've come to discussing football.Did Gray kick your dog or something? I mean we heard crickets from you after Navy and now here you come into this thread with 3 posts focused on and bitching about Gray. And it’s Gray w a capital G. Give it a rest man.
Why do you think it looks like an evenly matched game on paper? We've increased to an 11.5 point favorite on the road vs a ranked team. Pitt concerns me, don't get me wrong, but we have the potential to overwhelm them if we play good.Officials are my primary concern. I think he just wasn't starting, then after game was in hand and they saw this happening - the coaches said not today. Is Traore playing this week? A little strange that he was a healthy scratch last week. He should rip through their tackles, and could have a big day if Pitt has to drop back 30+ times to move the ball.

I did comment after the Navy game, most of it was positive and didn't spark any conversation.
Somehow, I bring up the team's weakest link (other than kicker) when that individual is coming off a terrible game, and has sat the last 2 games. AND, he'll probably play the majority of this game. Why would we ever talk about him!?!? He should be a focus of conversations. He's the first player in ND under Freeman to go from Out due to injury two games in a row vs bad opponent, now all of a sudden, we play someone good and he's not on the injury list. I want to know what kept him injured for almost 3 weeks through this past Saturday to not be injured at all 2 days later?!?!? I need some of that!
I didn't bring up gray or zackery the last 2 games because BC and Navy couldn't attack them. If gray was still out and zackery was starting at field I'd be saying relatively the same things because he's not close to being there yet. I do think he plays with much better energy consistently than Gray so i'll give him that. But, whomever our field corner is on Saturday will get a lot of attention from pitt.
I'd prefer gray not kick one of my two dogs, and instead became a "dog" on the football field, or is it "Dog"? Hopefully it happens this weekend. Gray having a good game would be huge!

I got a similar vibe from Prister’s reaction as well but tend to think he was truly thinking out loud & stopped himself so fans wouldn’t speculate. Don’t forget Traore is coming off a season ending injury so it could’ve been a luxury for him & the staff to rest him.Is Traore playing this week? I brought him up before miami and through A&M, then didn't talk about him much until leading into USC and week after. I haven't spoken about him in about 3 weeks now until the Pitt game. Why, because these are teams that can expose him and cause serious problems for ND until it is fixed. The other 6 teams just didn't have the players or oline to do that. Pitt doesn't have A&M top 2 wrs, or toney, or lemon, but they probably have the next best weapons we've seen outside of those i just mentioned. It’s the repetitive nature and frequency. We get it. You think Gray is a weakness. We got it Week 2, we got it Week 8, we get it in Week 11. And every week in between. We get it.
So do you think Gray is going to have a good game this weekend?Telling me to capitalize gray's last name to Gray is the closest you've come to discussing football.

Schmidt looked great in the downpour vs Navy. Of course, he didn't try any field goals, but at least he hit the XPs. All his KOs were straight, which is a step in the right direction.I'd love for this to be one of our best games of the season, especially with the circus in town. Maybe our kicking game will make a positive appearance.
