Putting a bunch of points on Purdue is always fun. 10 in a row now, I think they said.

CJ Carr is an actual, Sunday-worthy QB.

Entire defense has problems, and they're the same problems from the Miami and aTm games.

Where tf is Sneed?

Our defense is not good but I have a feeling TAMU and Miami are actually good this year. It might be cope, but I still feel good about the team overall with the elite offensive production.

I remember a few people on this site saying Aneyas Williams was a better RB than Price. Glad to see Price proving them wrong and taking the next step.
While I'd disagree with that strange and seemingly rare assessment, Aneyas is still injured, and Young/James/Walton/Osborne give tons of additional reason for optimism whenever Price moves on.

Cant help but wonder if Price/Love played more against Miami we are now 2-1.
Ya think? Denbrock lost that game hands down. He gets his head mostly out of his ass against A&M and the Ash chokes it for us. Today we played a weaker but decent team who made some plays but OC calls were better (duh) but the D is not good. It’s ok at best. Maybe C grade at best. Ash sucks.

I'm not sold on on Texas 8&4 but I think Miami will win the ACC.

What's odd.... the Irish have scored 120 points in the last Nine quarters, in the first three games.... and is 1-3

D-Coordinator issue or Defensive injuries??? - What say you??? I'll say it - Ash is ass

and BTW - the 'lastest' QTR was offensive 2nd & 3rd string..

Defense is horrific. Better hope that Moore and Smith are back next week. The kicker too because Schmidt looks like me out there.

I’ve been asking for price to be kick off returned for 2 years. People need to start listening to me more.

Who else in the ACC is remotely close? Clemson is trash
Maybe FSU. GT is sneaky good too.

My main hesitation with Miami is that the next big late season game that Cristobal wins will be his first. I just don't trust that guy in big moments. Even watching them play this bottom tier FCS Florida offense you can see Miami making terrible clock management decisions, burning through timeouts needlessly, etc.

A situation to monitor going forward: I noticed post half time that they were moving the DL around in stunts and slants, versus the first 12 quarters of ball where we saw very little of that. And it worked. The pressure finally started getting to the QB, and the coverage on the backend looked better because of it.

Now the question is, did Ash make that adjustment (finally) or did Freeman tell him that his playcalling services were no longer needed and the reigns were taken over by either MF or MM? Only time will tell, but the second half from the DL was encouraging to me

What else can we say about our beautiful baby boy CJ? Really wish Denbrock wouldn’t have nerfed him in Miami, I think we win that game if he’s allowed to run the entire offense instead of whatever condensed version they let him run. He’s a legitimate first round talent who can make every single throw. Better enjoy the 22-25 games we have with him in an Irish uni, he will not be using up his eligibility

Oh and I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about Greathouse, I don’t watch a whole lot of all-22 but I have to imagine the guy is getting doubled and bracketed, which is why Fields and Faison have had opportunities to be so wide open. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s a good problem to have if that’s the case

MF MO is to persevere with major team issues: Last year it was RL being able to pass and be an effective QB; this year, it's the D to figure out it's personality and strengths and to find confidence and start to hit on all cylinders. No different, just other side of the ball and maybe focuses more on Ash and figuring out who will be the D leaders who emerge.

We may just be surprised by the end of the season... In MMFF we trust!

And the D did show some glimpses of the greatness they can attain tonight in the 2nd half.

The offense was terrific today. The line did a great job staying on blocks in the run game, and aside from Knapp showing cement feet late in the first half, the pass protection was good. Carr plays with a lot of confidence and moxie for someone so young. He can really spin the ball, and provides a real dimension with his down the field passing that we have not seen in quite some time. Love and Price were amazing in all facets - tough, determined running mixed with electric, dynamic big plays. Price seems to have figured out ways to maximize the more dirty runs than he had previously, and still has the explosiveness that has defined his career. Faison and Fields were outstanding as well.

The defense remains a sore spot. Missing Shuler for a half and Moore for the entire game was not a help, but Browne had far too many easy, uncontested throws. On a positive note, the run defense against non quarterback scrambles was very good, but the pass rush still does not get there enough, and they don't inspire much confidence. The goal is for the defense to play fast and loose, and this team is doing anything but that. At best, Ash was an uninspiring hire. At worst, he is 2016 ND defense quality. Something has to give here - Freeman needs to take the reins of the defense and allow the players to play fast and loose. It can't continue like this if they want to have a chance to make the playoff.

Took the family up. We stayed through it all and had an amazing time.

The kids really enjoyed dapping up the players during the walk and doing push ups after touchdowns in our section.

They both can’t wait to go back, and that makes my post game observation a simple “we won, and enjoyed it, on to the next one”
