Seen a lot of stuff about Hogan circulating this weekend. I admit I was a fan as a kid, but as I got older and I found out about his backstage influence hurting younger talent I turned away. Then there was the scandal and really tarnished his legacy. In the late 90s/early 2000s he had real beef with Mick Foley, both guys didn't care for each other. They made up a few years ago, so it was interesting to see Mick talk about Hogan here. He makes some interesting comments but also references all the good Hogan did outside of the ring for Make-A-Wish kids. It's easy to forget people aren't the sum of a few mistakes and while those mistakes can still tarnish a legacy there are still good people at the end of the day.

Depends on the mistakes, if they are really bad looking racist mistakes they tend to tarnish a legacy.

Mick Foley seems like a real solid guy from everything I have seen of him outside the ring.

Oh, his legacy is absolutely tarnished by that mistake, no question about it. I don't think it means he was necessarily a bad person though. I say that as a former wrestling fan that laughed when HBK made Hogan look like a fool during their Summerslam feud, I couldn't stand the guy by that period in time. Saw a lot of videos over the weekend from people in and out of the business, it's interesting to see the good he did when the cameras were off that you never heard about.

Mick is a stand up dude, always been a humanitarian, and has written some award winning children's books along with some best selling autobiographies I believe.

Probably one of the synonymous names w/ WGN when we were growing up. No matter where you lived, if you had cable TV; WGN & WTBS were always a click away. Nothing like coming home from school and watching a day game in Wrigley on WGN & catching Dale Murphy & the Braves on TBS that evening. Rest easy Ryno. What a class act.
