The other day I was driving on a road that goes between a couple of those big warehouse. Coming up to where it curves, this girl was in my lane because she was on her phone. She saw me at the last minute and adjusted, but after narrowly missing me, she just kept looking at her phone like it was no big deal.To your point, I can't stand the thought of having a teenager start driving today. Everywhere I go I see idiots staring at their phone, skipping lanes, etc. That really grinds my gears, even more so now that I have a baby.
You can be the best, safest driver in the world and you're really only responsible for ~50% (braking/swerving etc) of what happens between you and other vehicles. I'd be all for a technology where you have to dock your phone in the trunk before starting your car. Sick of this $hit.
