In Cabin in the Woods, the Buchners were described as a "zombie redneck torture family." I hope we get some of that energy tomorrow!

I love Buch more than most. But the disrespect to Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year 2023 Teddy Rezac is unreal...

Likely plays a big role on the lax team this year as an ssdm for a team that has a legitimate chance of a Three-Peat!

Indeed. We do lose quite a few midfielders off the 2024 team so the opportunity will be there for Buchner to get regular time at ssdm or maybe even offensive midfield where we lose Dobson and Reilly Gray

He should play instead of Faison who should focus on his real job for the next 2 years.

What is SSDM? Does the M = month?

Short stick defensive middie or midfielder. Plays offense and defense, but defensive middie usually only contributes offensively in transition, comes off the field for an offensive middie when possible

They should move him back to the QB room. I wouldn’t mind seeing how he goes with less pressure and zero expectation.
I know they said he wasn't going back to the QB room, but is he not effectively a QB? His primary role seems to be calling in plays from the sideline, which is typically a QB job, not something they have WRs do. And to the extent he has gotten on the field it has been as someone who throws/runs the ball, not catches it.

Either way, yes, especially if we lose one of Angeli/Minchey, having him available as a quarterback seems like a good move. He'll have far more game experience than any other QB on the roster next year, and if Denbrock wants QBs who can run, that's Buchner.

It makes sense, he was a good enough QB to beat SCar in a bowl game, he should be good enough to be our 3rd or 4th string. I have no issue with it. Especially if there was a hypothetical scenario where Minchey transferred, our depth would be in shambles this season.
