For real? That holder/runner looked slow. I remember thinking I wish it was Buchner.

Salerno and Buchner wear 26. Buchner is a playcaller with a vest and cap on him, after the fake fg there’s video of him celebrating with Biagi as he puts his vest and cap back on

That’s some slick coaching

First guy to win a national championship and rush for a first down in the same calendar year?

Great stuff but why blow that trick there. Unless there is a trick inside the trick. Maybe he passes next time.

The announcers had no idea it was Buchner.
Yeah it was a great play that led to a 6 yard longer FG attempt that missed. At least it allowed us to drain another two minutes off the clock. Buchner should have stayed in the game. Riley sucked almost the entire second half. Just like Louisville game.

On the fake FG, why is the ball not blown dead when the holder takes the snap and his knee is touching the field? Is he exempt from being down?

Think it’s so the holder has a chance to run. It’s a play in the game.
In other words, so they aren’t sitting ducks.

It’s a rule in place to allow a holder to receive the ball while down, but not considered down.

After reading the article in Riley’s thread it makes you like Tyler even more. He left, came back where he started, doing what ever he can to help the team and the starting qb has a bad game and he reaches out to him only to help him.

This is ND. This I why we all like Notre Dame it’s different.
