Feels like Seider has bigger ambitions and he's going to likely have opportunities. You flip him, he won't be here long, and I know how some of us get attached to this assistant coaches.

I know assistant coaches come & go but to those who are deeper into the understanding of these aspects of college football what does this mean for us going forward? I don’t want to feel like the sky is falling but losing our DC & the coach who has helped mold our biggest offensive weapon does seem like a major cause for concern when it comes to going back to the National Championship next season on paper. Am I being too paranoid or the right amount of paranoid?

You're paranoid.

But not at all alone here.

There are two assistants left from Freeman's original staff in 2022. He's going to keep winning, assistants are going to keep moving on. It's what happens.

They could keep going 8-4 every year and everyone can stay or get fired. That's another option.

Interesting move considering I've heard a few of our talking heads tab him as a future CFB HC. Best of luck!

This kind of staff turnover is manageable and not indicative of distinction. Not to worry
Yep it's totally fine. We hire good coaches, they do good work, they're going to get even better opportunities. In this day and age I wouldn't expect most assistants to stay put more than three years, not the good ones anyway. (and the bad ones you should probably move along too).
