Thinking same, but again, yes give him his 5th year, but do we really want him here for a 5th year? I guess there are +s and -s for him to stay/ leave. Maybe he goes elsewhere for a 5th year like Ewers?
I think all of the pros outweigh on cons. Stability in the position for another year, player suited for Denbrock, give Carr an additional year to recover and grow while working him in, eliminates the doubt over the position for next year, etc etc. Can't think of too many Cons

I don’t think it’s realistic for Leonard to come back. But if it became realistic, I can’t think of any cons, really.

Ive already convinced myself that the reason Freeman stopped pursuing a transfer qb is because ND got word that Riley will be awarded another year and are keeping it a secret.
Your BFF doesn’t tell you this kinda stuff?

Making the rounds...
This article is the output of typing “Write me an article about the chance Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard stays another year” to ChatGPT and then adding clickbait headline. Always blows my mind that people can’t tell this garbage (“fan rumor.com???”) from something halfway legitimate.

Not endorsing. Just a data point that the discussion is out there

I hope he has the best passing game of his ND career.
He's capable. In 2022, he had 4 games of 290+ passing yards in a game with the high water mark of 391.

Obviously, we don't put that much pressure on him to do that, but if we get behind, I have faith he can sling it.

We are surprisingly thin at corner...

Other than throwing one more INT, Leonard out dueled Allar. He had a TD, which Allar didn't, Leonard threw for almost 100 more yards, and his percentage and YPA were also much better.

After Leonard got pulled for concussion protocol I was calling for Angeli to stay in the game after he got us our first points. Credit to Leonard for coming back and leading some impressive drives late to win this game.
