Teams with a better record than us: Oregon 13-0
Teams with a "better" record than us Boise 12-1
Teams with the same record as us: IU 11-1, Army11-1

And we could very well be seeded 7th!
Might be a good motivator for Freeman.

It's all bullshit the sec has all these ranked wins because they are all ranked having 3 losses. They are over valued no one is that good this year

Every team has a bad loss so this argument of if you put bama in a different conference they lost to two dog shit teams and one was a blowout so yeah they should be out

And the committee controls who is ranked. They can steer the narrative any way they want to.

I don’t think Georgia with Stockton would score 20 on us. Neither them or Oregon scare me, OSU is probably still the most complete team. Texas probably has the highest ceiling but them seem to not have “it” for whatever reason.

Looks great until you realize that they'll swap us and Texas in that situation (which I would still be fine with, love the idea of playing Bama at home and then getting a crack at Boise in Round 2).
Still wrong. OSU beat PSU at their place. That must mean something and they beat a playoff team in IU.

The computers don't give a shit about any of that and the computers like Alabama.

I think PSU should move to 8 or 9 below OSU
I think PSU should definitely drop, but I doubt below #8 being that they did 'back into' the BIG conf. game yet was ranked #4. Going from #4 down to #7 or #8 is definitely reasonable. Same for Texas, they should drop a couple of spots, still giving them a home playoff game (as w/ PSU) being the 2 highest runner-ups.

So…
49 AP voters have ND ahead of Penn st
13 have Penn St ahead of ND

45 AP voters have ND ahead of Texas
17 have Texas ahead of ND

So 79% and 73% ranked ND higher in comparison….but some journalists predict ND in the 7th seed.

In successive order of odds - 6th, 5th, 7th.

As much as SMU vs Bama is taking all the oxygen in the room, ND getting the 7th seed would be another unjust needle mover.

Yes please

We'd need to beat SMU and ASU to get a date with either OSU, Tennessee, or Oregon in the final four.
Would 6 be the better route?
Clemson, Boise to play either Texas or UGA.
I think OSU has me more worried than an other team. They seem to have our number and always play well against us.

I don’t see any world in which Texas is 7 and then plays Georgia again in round 2
They would just flip Boise and UGA. Problem solved.

1. Oregon
2. Boise
3. UGA
4. ASU
5. ND
6. OSU
7. Texas
8. Penn St
9. Tennessee
10. IU
11. Clemson
12. SMU

Computers have a place in sports, but they almost ruined baseball when people with a straight face said Mike Trout should be MVP over the first Triple Crown winner in almost 50 years because some nerd with a computer said so, and some people believed him.

They said they weren't going to seed to avoid rematches. Nobody believes them so if anything I half expect them to err on the side of CAUSING rematches so they can say "see we told you so."

MLB has 30 teams playing 162 games each. FBS has 134 teams playing 12 games each. There aren't enough data points to objectively compare all 134 teams against each other.

Wait the selection show is ACTUALLY four hours long? When someone said that I thought it was a joke.
