Browsing the odds on FanDuel and I noticed we are -260 to win on Saturday but -650 to make the playoff. Wouldn't that imply that we are in regardless?

A lot of pundits are starting to think so since there were so many upsets last week. I don't love our odds though if we fall to 10-2, personally. Just don't know if we have the resume.

Of course they'd sell 5,000, but IU isn't going to "take over" Notre Dame Stadium in a playoff game. No one will. I'd expect huge demand from season ticket holders and in the lottery, as this is a first-ever opportunity.
And just logistically speaking, it's a very different dynamic than a regular-season game. Notre Dame are already buying (refundable) tickets/hotel rooms in anticipation of a home game, regardless of the opponent. Whereas whoever we play will have, what, two weeks advance notice?

The stats don’t say their offense is better but go ahead buddy. It’s easy to say that a three loss team would beat the teams playing for their conference champion, it’s another thing for it to actually happen.

Except they don’t have 3 losses, because they have two and are in contention for the conference championship. There’s something that’s true of A&M, UT, and UGA which keeps them in contention for the SEC Championship but I’ll let the big brained frog figure that one out for himself.

I think next week is the ideal spot for a change of heart by the committee. Penn State beat USC by a FG on the road and it went into OT. If ND lays the wood on them in the same venue it would push it over the edge IMO. Win convincingly and I think they pass PSU after next weekend.

SMU at home is one of the best outcomes as it currently stands.
