what are you talking about? he was playing great before an ankle injury knocked him out of the game before halftime. south carolina was winning when he got injured.

also uga has a mediocre offense, with a qb who turns the ball over twice a game. and im in “show me” mode for Texas. they got destroyed by uga and their best win is by 3 to vandy and their offense hasn’t looked too convincing yet. i think south carolina would beat uga rn
Didn't know Jordan Love played for UGA, that's neat

Browsing the odds on FanDuel and I noticed we are -260 to win on Saturday but -650 to make the playoff. Wouldn't that imply that we are in regardless?
A lot of pundits are starting to think so since there were so many upsets last week. I don't love our odds though if we fall to 10-2, personally. Just don't know if we have the resume.

Hope the boys are locked in and don't leave anything to chance. Obviously a huge difference between hosting the opening round and traveling to UGA or Tennessee, for example.

LOLOL @ Rutgers and Maryland beat writers and their votes this week… I know this is the AP poll, which doesn’t mean much of anything anymore. But still funny.
Writing for two programs that honestly shouldn’t even have a football program..

I’m with ya. This weekend is huge if we want to have an even remote shot at winning the whole thing.

The media is salivating at USC upsetting ND. We'll be in the Sun Bowl so fast.

9 of 16 for 113 plus an interception and a fumble. He ran the ball pretty well but everyone runs the ball well against LSU.

It's funny you mention turning the ball over twice per game because Sellers leads college football in fumbles with 10 in 10 games to go with his 6 picks.

Of course they'd sell 5,000, but IU isn't going to "take over" Notre Dame Stadium in a playoff game. No one will. I'd expect huge demand from season ticket holders and in the lottery, as this is a first-ever opportunity.
And just logistically speaking, it's a very different dynamic than a regular-season game. Notre Dame are already buying (refundable) tickets/hotel rooms in anticipation of a home game, regardless of the opponent. Whereas whoever we play will have, what, two weeks advance notice?
Completely agree. Just wanted to point out that they wouldn’t have problems selling theirs even if IU is a basketball school.

Sellers has 5 fumbles lost* (10 total) and 6 picks.
Carson beck has 12 ints and 2 fumbles lost (6 total).
my point remains: UGA has a mediocre offense with a turnover prone Qb. South carolina has a better offense with a more threatening dual threat Qb; and is the more complete team rn when combined with their solid defense.

also you were literally saying South carolina lost to LSU because Sellers was playing really bad. they were winning 24-10, he had almost 100 yds rushing with 2 tds and had thrown over 100 more when he got injured before halftime. you don’t know what you’re talking about lol

The stats don’t say their offense is better but go ahead buddy. It’s easy to say that a three loss team would beat the teams playing for their conference champion, it’s another thing for it to actually happen.

I stand by what I said. If Sellers doesn’t turn the ball over twice in the first half they don’t lose that game. They had no business losing it at all.

it’s even easier to say when South Carolina has literally already beaten A&M, who is one win away from being in said conference Championship, by 3 tds

And they’ve lost to Ole Miss who will be sitting on their ass during that conference championship by more than 3 TDs. The transitive property doesn’t apply.

Except they don’t have 3 losses, because they have two and are in contention for the conference championship. There’s something that’s true of A&M, UT, and UGA which keeps them in contention for the SEC Championship but I’ll let the big brained frog figure that one out for himself.

#5. If we were to ever pass PSU it was tonight after hammering a #19 and they escaped MN by 1 point. Officially 5th if we win out, barring someone being upset.

No.

We have a chance to embarrass USC @their place. Penn State needed overtime and the refs to win @ SC. It's a data point the committee considers.
It won't matter, they're not going to transitive property from weeks ago when they held the line until the end. Zero chance we jump PSU now unless they lose.

I think next week is the ideal spot for a change of heart by the committee. Penn State beat USC by a FG on the road and it went into OT. If ND lays the wood on them in the same venue it would push it over the edge IMO. Win convincingly and I think they pass PSU after next weekend.

Yes, they do. They explicitly provide what they use to decide their rankings on their website.

"The selection committee ranks the teams based on the members’ evaluation of the teams’ performance on the field, using conference championships won, strength of schedule, head-to-head results, and comparison of results against common opponents."

The teams you want to host are SMU, Indiana, and Miami. The team you want to avoid is Georgia. Everything else is sorta net neutral... both PSU and Tennessee are good-not-great.
That's my thoughts
SMU at home is one of the best outcomes as it currently stands.

PSU with their bullshit schedule doesn't scare me

Not counting my chickens, but don't be surprised if I beg for a ticket at face value.
