I believe so. How I understand it, it’s a 1099 payment and must be claimed as self employment.

I would know for sure, but a 5-star’s uncle got involved before I could sit down with the player to better understand his NIL deal lol.

No, ND is not "so far behind the elites" when it comes to NIL. The five stars you're complaining about aren't coming to ND for a variety of reasons; money is not one of them.

The amount of hair pulling on this board over a kid who was clearly looking for the bag flipping from LSU to Michigan is outrageous. Reminds me of the hysterics surrounding Dante Moore, who's done nothing during his college career, but that didn't stop many of you from getting your panties in a wad.

The complaining is so tiring. ND is in a terrific place, having its best season in years. If you can't get behind that, and are still finding things to complain about, maybe it's time to support another team.

Why is that a bad thing? He's going to get $12 million for at least three years in college. Kirby Smart makes $13 million a year, on the backs of kids like this.
