I thought the Bleacher Report poll carried more weight? They have us back at #13 and A&M jumping us a la FSU 93!!!

Penn State at 3.....lol
Penn Star will finish the season worse than 13! Haven’t looked like a top 10 team once this season. Squeaked by Bowling Green who might be worse than NIU!

Who are they going to lose too? Maybe OSU but I thought we all agree they aren't great either

What I'm wondering too. They've got:

Home vs. Ohio State
Home vs. Washington
@Purdue
@ Minnesota
Home vs. Maryland

They'll be an annoying fraud that goes 11-1, comes in third in the Big Ten and hosts a playoff game which they'll probably lose.

If ND goes 11-1 I assume most will be saying the same about ND
Sure. Let 'em. If we're hosting a playoff game I don't really care.
Our schedule's probably tougher than Penn State's though.

Got to root for Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, and Texas Tech next Saturday. Flesh this one out more. Right now it feels like the top 18 or so have really separated and 19 through 25 is as bad as it's ever been.

I think they got us right but they got Clemson very wrong.

The lone #1 vote for UGA should be stripped of the right to vote
Uh why? I think UGA would be a tough matchup for Oregon and their loss certainly isn’t egregious. Dont have to agree but stripped of their right to vote is way overdramatic.

I think PSU and Tennessee are the walking dead. This is a good look for us.
Tennessee will lose to Georgia - so that puts them at 2 losses. That may or may not be good enough to get into the playoff. But, if they make it in we would be ranked higher.

Penn State should lose to Ohio St., but that's probably their only loss because their schedule is easy. 1 loss Penn St. with a best win against ? (Illinois ?) shouldn't get in. But, they will. I'll riot if they are ahead of us.

Man I was not expecting that much of a bump at all. Meaningless but good indicator for where the committee will put us.

This right here. I fully expected to be jumped by Aggie and even go down a spot, just because.

Was starting to feel like that “purgatory” season where after that blowout loss to scUM, all credibility was erased the rest of the season.

If any top 7 team is going to have a weird loss to like a 4-5 team, I think it will be Penn State. They are just primed to blow it every year.

People forgive a head scratching loss if you routinely kick the ass of the other teams on the schedule. This both passes the "eye test" and boosts efficiency numbers. Notre Dame keeps playing like this and the committee will say something like...yeah they lost to NIU but they dominated the rest of their schedule.

It helps that at this point it was so long ago that it's a little out of mind. And Texas A&M looks good and Louisville was our only close game. Cover the spread the rest of the way and it's undeniable.

I believe ND is 6-2 ATS (only the MAC schools as misses) with average cover of 10 points. stealing from vegas this year if you’re betting the Irish weekly.

Kirby not allowed anymore?? Why no Kirby???
AP poll isn't voted on by the coaches, it's the media.
No love for Pitt either......
Gotta play someone. I think that's also why IU, as impressive as they've been, hasn't cracked the top 25. ND has the aTm win on their resume, and (at least at the time) 2 more ranked wins against L'ville and Navy, although the former certainly hasn't made the win look as good as it appeared in late-September.

Pitt 101 SOS at this point and IU 106.....

10th in latest, down 2 spots. aTm and Navy losing screwed ND, but who cares. CFP rankings start Tuesday, and those don't even count until the last one.

Louisville is 25th, tho. Army is 18th.

We actually have more points in the AP this week vs last week despite the drop. The gap in points from 10th to 11th became quite large.

The important rankings come out this week and that will be more interesting
