Shit forgot about Jeter being hurt
Goins had seven touchbacks vs Stanford and Zack Yoakum has proven himself as accurate kicker. Long ones probably won't happen but probably won't be needed.

Jeter's injury is the type that needs a little time, don't rush him back.

I was looking at their board this morning to see if they had any injury inside info on King, & wow, they are an arrogant bunch.

The majority thinks they win. Even without King.

Please delete this. I’m not a superstitious guy but we had very similar posts before the NIU game

This game shouldn't be close.
Really depends on whether or not their QB plays, imo. They're at home (basically), they will commit to the run/ can run the ball well, and have done relatively well against the spread when they're a double digit dog the last two years, winning three of the games - Miami last year (assist to Cristobal), UNC last year, and FSU this year.

ND is banged up and on the road. They have a tendency to shit their pants when they're a double digit favorite and ACC refs are ACC refs. Tech is going to run the ball, chew clock, and limit possessions, regardless of who’s under center. That should keep the game tight for about 2.5 quarters. If their QB plays, it could get interesting. Without him, ND probably pulls away late and covers.

I might post it 100 times before the game then.
It’s a sad state of affairs if people believe anything like that has anything to do with the game.
If you aren’t superstitious, you should embrace it.
Screw them. ND is winning. I said it. I’ll stand by it.

Watched the fourth quarter of of the GT/NC game from last week. Pyron really didn't move the team in his three series. NC let GTs RB dash for 68 yards up the middle with 20 seconds to go in what was going to be a run out the clock and win it in OT situation. Pyron on threw one completion, a little sideways toss that got 7 yards.

He had a few runs, not a dynamic runner. Major difference between he and King as runners. King is shifty and fast, Pyron is neither

UNC was also having to play their 3rd string QB

Notre Dame was outcoached by NIU. It’s perfectly reasonable to be nervous about this game.
You can be nervous all you want.
But saying they will lose because of message board posts…
Or saying I’m nervous, but I still think ND wins is fine.
If ND was playing Bama, I would say Bama wins, because they are a better team. I wouldn’t be afraid to predict it because they lost to Vanderbilt.
And Bama fans should feel that way. And a majority of ND fans should feel that way.
My point is GT fans don’t care who is playing QB for them, they think they win.
I think that’s arrogant. Just as I would if the majority of ND fans thought we would beat Bama, regardless of which ND QB played.

Is it perfectly reasonable to be nervous about every game?? Asking for a friend…

Edit: In all seriousness under MF I’m in this weird spot where I feel much better about our chances in games against P4, top 15 teams than I am against anyone else. BK obviously you tended to feel the opposite way.

Losing to Marshall and NIU is weird. Possibly not fluky at this point, but I do feel like MF in year 3 is growing. The games following Marshall show it. We’ll see how the rest of the year goes, but I think there’s some growth occurring.

I don’t think ND will lose either. I get a little superstitious though.

I don’t like that the guys on the II pod were shitting on GT’s backup QB all week. He’ll probably pop off now.

Honestly until our offense proves itself against a solid defense, I'm gonna be nervous about every game.
Our defense will always keep us in it, but the offense gives so little margin for error that a fluke play and a couple of bad breaks and next thing you know you're trying a 70-yard field goal to not lose to Northern Illinois.
But I agree the one thing I'm fairly confident in is that Freeman will have them primed for the biggest games. That he has pretty consistently shown over the last two and a half years. Far more than his predecessor.

I don’t think Al Golden has coached a game at ND where Morrison wasn’t on the field. This will be a first.

I think the problem GT will have is they will be one dimensional with him.
Teams are not successful against Golden if they are one dimensional.
They will score early with scripted plays. Then Golden will own them.

He has coached multiple games with true freshman Cornerbacks playing a lot better receiving corps & QBs than GT.
