I was at all the home games in 2007 as a freshman at HCC. It was like watching people beat your grandmother every game...
My buddies and I refer to 2007 as “The Lost Season” for very obvious reasons. We still watched every game, but also consumed enough alcohol that we don’t really have any recollection of any of it.

Sadly I didn't drink back then, so I have vivid memories of that game in particular and the USC beatdown.

I was at the Navy game. I couldn't unload the tickets.

I remember vividly going out and doing yard work, in late October, rather than watch them play USC that year.

As for GT this Saturday, I am feeling better about this game now than I was a few weeks ago. Hopefully they can control the majority of the game and take care of the ball. GT, like everyone else, is going to be up for hosting ND. Win the crowd, win your freedom.

Anybody with an idea on where we can look to see updates on their QB?

It's unfortunate timing because if our '05 team was playing that year, we may have had a chance to make some serious noise.

I went ahead and bet a modified line of GT +14.5... will be surprised if ND wins by more than 2 TDs. The line before last week was 8.5 and it's moved to 12 which suggests to me that their QB isn't playing.

I like the way the offense particularly Leonard has improved every week. Given this is at the MB dome, there should be a good contingent of Irish fans to support the team. Our lads roll big time.

We wore green jerseys in the USC game. I thought usc and Pete Carrol were kind and classy that day as they could have run the score into the 50’s. Wasn’t that Evan Sharpley leading the charge?!
The UCLA and Stanford wins were impressive imo given where this team had been. Showed signs of a brighter future. Unfortunately that team and Charlie Weiss had the same conditioning program. Wonder if he is on the wagovy yet?

how’s Gurby Lambert going when he gets in? I am hoping he might just become the starter at LT asap.

Funny story. I was at the game. The man sitting in front of me was legit crying. I offered my whiskey flask to him. As he poured it in his cup, the yellow jacket Gestapo was watching the whole time. They started saying something to him and he pointed directly at me and said "he gave it to me". I was escorted out because not only was liquor banned, distributing liquor was even more of a problem. Fuck that guy wherever he is today.

That’s a hilarious story

The thing I remember most about the 2006 game at Bobby Dodd is that some ND fans found a workaround on ticket pricing by buying a full season or multi home game package allotment from Ga Tech, in lieu of trying to find tickets on the secondary market for that single game.

I don't think this ticket on Saturday will be quite as in demand!

Tech only drew 37K for their last home game (Duke) so I doubt if they're filling Mercedes Benz (65K) on their own

I dunno, dude. I'd agree if their QB WAS playing, but if he's out I can very much see us rolling by 3+ scores. Even with BenMo also out.

On the one hand, fuck that guy. On the other hand, I was at that game, too. And he kind of did you a favor.

I remember a bunch of people doing that for the Temple game in Philly in 2015(?). I believe @wizards8507 was one of them or contemplated it.

Yep. People used to do that when we’d come to BC sometimes too, especially in the times when BC was better than it has been lately. Just buy a season ticket package and sell the rest for whatever they could get.

I think there would've been at Bobby Dodd as well to be fair. My wife is a Tech grad, when I lived in ATL we went to the GT-BC game in 2021. The stadium was half empty in a competitive game. Granted, ND is a bigger draw for opposing fans.

I was lucky enough to be in the stadium that night as well.
About 20 rows up in the corner of the end zone that Will caught his game winning touchdown.
It was a great night game atmosphere.

I’ll be at MetLife next weekend. Hoping for another good one.

I always thought this was a home game for GT and they moved it to the dome for ticket sales. Then I've seen this mentioned as a neutral site game. If true, does anyone know what the ticket allotment was?

New TV show.....CSI: Irish Envy!
Instead of solving cases by using technology & cutting edge investigative techniques, we will rely on: anger, despair, grudges, and copious amounts of alcohol. Throw in the occasional decade of the Rosary just to hedge our bets.

I know it’s been a low bar but is it safe to say GT is the best running offense this ND defense will have faced so far?
