This happens to everyone, not just Notre Dame.

Is that cope? Probably.

I think it affects our psyche more because we only have ONE blue chip SEC geared recruit a cycle, it’s always them that defects, so it’s magnified.

Bama, Ohio State, etc can’t hold onto multiple big dogs every cycle, but they have 7 other ones they do hold onto.

This! It’s like losing $20 out of your wallet or pocket. Other schools have a wad and can handle or manage to lose a $20 or two. Notre Dame loses a $20 bill they are left with a bunch of $5s and $1s with Potential.

Much more likely the opposite

Bingo. Programs like Aggie and War Eagle double and triple down in times of distress.

They are the rich parents who give their kid anything and everything, always bail them out when they screw up, and can never understand why said kid can’t develop any consistency in life.

Auburn has $9 mil set aside for the portal for next year. Wonder if they told Deuce they were going to target a big time QB transfer - preferably with two years of eligibility left?

Instead of a food thread let’s honor duece by discussing the last time we shit our pants… I’ll go first.

After a 30 detox last year I decided to end it with a coke from McDonalds. My tummy immediately starting rumbling in the car and thought I had to fart but I went Duece Knight on myself.

On my way home from my coke dealer. The anticipation was too much for my sphincter.

I don't want to be that guy
But when he transferred to Lipscomb Academy in TN (which that whole thing was a big red flag) I watched an interview with him,

My thoughts: "this does not seem like an ND type of kid at all".

That is not saying he couldn't have made it "work". But it felt so, unnatural.

And yes, go ahead and say Traits

I was told last night, by someone who would know, that the people at Lipscomb hated Deuce.

Agree, you listen to an Minchey or Carr interview and then Deuce Knight, it's a massive difference

The entire situation just sounds incredibly disingenuous and misleading on the part of the recruit and his camp. What irritates me most, though, is that there are going to be fans of this program that use it as another reason to bitch about and bash the coaching staff. It appears that they didn't get fooled again, saw this coming and have been working back channels with other QBs for months.

Carr and Minchey are in the fold. Grubbs is verballed. Go out and flip a guy in the next 2 months, everything sorts out and we move on.
