Instead of a food thread let’s honor duece by discussing the last time we shit our pants… I’ll go first.

After a 30 detox last year I decided to end it with a coke from McDonalds. My tummy immediately starting rumbling in the car and thought I had to fart but I went Duece Knight on myself.

There’s no way this kid wasn’t going to be in the portal in short order if he came. This was an odd cultural fit from jump.

Eh I never got too into this kid.. CJ is the guy & should have the reigns for the next 3 years.

He likely would have hit the portal for $ anyway.

If we didn’t have CJ I’d be concerned.. And Grubbs is a top 10 QB sliding in for 26..

Now go get some elite wideouts.

He committed to us because we were about to take Bear, he committed to Auburn because they have the green like to JuJu. He is definitely not going to stay put at Auburn either. The "cultural fit" you said is right, he did this is highschool too. This isn't a kid you can count on building a program with. I would rather take a guy like Carr or Grubbs who you know will be a solid fit for the program.

Let's focus on Rivers and move on

My second grade football team had a tournament semi-final game earlier tonight. Playing a team we beat in a different tournament championship just last week.

One of our players was so nervous for the rematch that he had to take not just one Deuce Knight before the game, but TWO Deuce Knights before the game. Poor kid was SPRINTING to the bathroom during the coin flip lol

Apparently, he was telling Auburn weeks ago that he was going to flip...meanwhile, he was also telling ND that he was not.

I mean, good on ND for not believing that load of horseshit, but also pretty classless of Deuce to lie.

If you're not all in, then the least you can do is be honest about it.
Peyton Bowen says hi.

Maybe the staff did learn from that mess.

Auburn will at BEST win 5 games this year, and will probably end up 4-8 or 3-9. Going to be interesting to see if the bags dry up after that

Don't worry I am sure we will land another B rate QB in the transfer portal again next year. Only half kidding.

ND's been pursuing other QBs for weeks, pretty much since the start of the season. This isn't a Peyton Bowen situation where the staff took Deuce at his word (what he was telling them) and trusted him. They made some contingency plans. It's been kept a bit behind closed doors. Give it a day or two, you'll see a handful of dudes names get popped up or "announce" offers on X.

I was really good on the o-line in pass pro in high school, therefore I am qualified to criticize any and all levels of pass protection.

I was trash as a run blocker, had to hope I could simply angle my body and seal the hole to win. This ALSO makes me qualified to criticize all levels of run blocking.
Damn...it's like we're brothers. I was a lazy ass run blocker, but I didn't get beat in pass pro.

I feel a “foodie” starting here!!!!!!

I have a great place for calamari in Maui called Paia Fish Market.
Nope, just talking about taking a duece is allowed. The food that got you to that place is allowed however… so you had bad fish? Continue…

Never thought I would see the day when a grown man refers to his stomach as his tummy. :p

Only shock here would be if Notre Dame hasn’t been contacting other quarterbacks. Go Irish
I have to believe the staff was making head way a long time ago, when Deuce started showing signs that he wasn't really committed.

This happens to everyone, not just Notre Dame.

Is that cope? Probably.

I think it affects our psyche more because we only have ONE blue chip SEC geared recruit a cycle, it’s always them that defects, so it’s magnified.

Bama, Ohio State, etc can’t hold onto multiple big dogs every cycle, but they have 7 other ones they do hold onto.
