Genetic/familial hyperlipidemia. I keep pretty good tabs on my health, and I'm a bit of a tinkerer. Tried grass fed ground beef for two months, got my lipid panel done, and the number was pretty high. Switched to bison and my numbers dropped 50 points, so I figure I shouldn't mess with a good thing.
Nice. I have elevated cholesterol despite lean body mass. I should give it a shot.

Back to Knight, in reading ISD's most recent update, I'm pretty confident he's not going to end up a part of this class.

ISD is basically saying this isn't an NIL thing, and that the pull to the SEC might just be too much to overcome. ND is fighting, but the kids from the South want to play close to home, and that ND can't do much to counter that (that's my interpretation, no theirs). Update also said that ND won't be caught flat footed if he decommits and that they have a plan to take another QB in this class if he does.

Man I wish someone had let them know that putting all your eggs in the basket of a kid from Mississippi at the most important position on the team was going to go tits up.

I don't think this is on the staff. I mean, they recruited the kid, he loved the school, and he committed to the staff. Are they supposed to say no because he's from Mississippi?

And it doesn't seem like they put all their eggs in Deuce's basket. ISD indicates they'll move quickly to get another QB in this class and that there have always been contingencies in place in case this happened.

I would imagine that some of these recruiting site will start to lose money because recruiting has started and will only change more. People aren’t going to continue to pay for this information they aren’t getting.

I was pretty certain he was different count me as fooled. That’s ISD article was just a matter of when.

Only thing I didn't like about this is that they said the kids want to play together in college. Well, get their asses to ND.

While I think it is bad that we whiffed on our WRs, I think if you look at it, there is a solid chance that many of the top kids at the position this year simply aren't even takes for ND. Otherwise there isn't great reason for us to not recruit highly rated WRs of which there are plenty of in the South.

Loy says Auburn expects a flip.

Told ND he's still committed but the visits will continue.

One of two things going on here:

Auburn thinks they can wear him down where Ole Miss couldn't

OR

Knight told Auburn he's in, but he isn't ready to break MFMF and Gino's hearts yet

(Also yes, gonna be amazing to see yet another former ND commit or target of extremely high interest suddenly become a composite/unanimous 5-star prospect after joining the SEC ranks)

The Auburn moderators are pretty silent about this, and I think Knight have them a silent and the staff wants this quiet for some reason.

If true, it's probably so he can tell MF he's flipping. It also looks like it's time for MF to call him on the carpet and ask him straight up. Duece, it's time to shit or get off the pot.

Best advice I can give on recruiting anyone from Mississippi. Always…. always… put an asterisk by their commitment.
You may get one here or there but odds are the overwhelming majority will eventually decommit and go elsewhere.
Maybe MF can close the deal on this one but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Deuce decides to bolt.

This is why we need to join the SEC

But I thought he slept in Notre dame pajamas?

Seriously though, the non-line/TE recruits in the 2025 are more group of 5 level quality than even mid power 4 level starters

Strange. Almost like, stay with me here, some programs use recruiting sites to drive wedges between staffs and commits. Wierd.

I don't think we've ever had a thread quite like this where the commit has been on campus numerous times, recruits for the good guys and continues to say he's where he wants to be, yet we have Chicken Little comments posted constantly.

The Auburn beat is notorious for throwing shit on a wall to see what sticks for years.

Same with a recruit from Memphis. Maybe it’s an M thing. I don’t know.
Deuce hasn’t flipped yet so the Irish still need to stay all in with him. Just saying that I would not be surprised if he actually does flip.

These players grow up watching their heroes play every Sat. And those allegiances run deep… even in this new era of CFB. NIL has changed some of that but the outside pressure to stay and compete in the south… and the SEC is real… and real hard to overcome.

What's the reason for this
Cultural

Mississippi is DEEP south and fairly rural in the grand scheme of things. Same as Louisiana--and Alabama to a lesser extent than those two

People from there just feel more comfortable/at home in the south because that's the environment they grew up in and it's fairly different from other parts of the country--especially midwest and west coast

Georgia and Florida are obviously deep south too but a little more cosmopolitan so you will see prospects from those schools branch out more across the country
