surprised nobody has mentioned the new Beverly Hills cop movie that came out on netflix last Wednesday, wasn't as good as first two but still good and waaaaaaaaaay better than the third one from the early 90s
It was okay. Not bad, but not good IMO. Love Eddie Murphey, but he seems like he lost a step.

It's when he fucked with his laugh. It was such a great delivery mechanism but he felt it was getting the laughs. Not the jokes themselves. I still dont get it. Now he just seems so stiff and confined.

Saw Maxxxine last night. Really enjoyed it. Mia Goth is great. Kevin Bacon hams it up. Really hope Ti Weet makes a few more of these. if I was ranking them I’d have it….

X
Maxxxine
Pearl

All really good though and worth a watch.

Nothing better than SNL Eddie.

Looks
Like they’re postponing the second of Costner Horizon movies. Ticket sales aren’t as good as hoped.

Feel bad for Costner, haven't seen the movie yet due to having a new little one. But it looks great

He dumped a lot of his own money into this. Wife isn't a big fan of westerns. Hope to see it soon rather than wait for it to finally hit TV.

It...wasn't. I was very disappointed. Everything you may have read about it is true. It was a confusing mess of a movie.

Being a single dad with a 4 year old full time, my movie choices tend to be what he picks. But got to say...Despicable Me 4 wasn't too bad. Granted it was at a theater where you can have some adult beverages.

Not sure I’d even call it a movie. More like a series.

That first three hours certainly had you leaving the theater feeling empty. And the storyline is like a ping pong ball.

Wife picked some shitty rom com with Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon. Only watched cause I thought it might lead to sexual intercourse. She passed out, I stayed up and finished the movie. 3 out of 10.
Shoulda just hit the roof with a 12 pack & the binoculars to figure wtf is going on with recruiting.

I watched The Gentlemen tonight, with Charlie Hunnam, Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant. Different sort of movie with a lot of "It could've happened this way but didn't" scenes, but it's a complicated story with a lot of twists and dark humor. Good watch.

Watched The Beekeeper with Jason Statum. Typical kick some ass and blow up a lot of shit movie. He's not a great actor, but he hit a new low on this one when it came to dialogue.

I watched it, too. It was pretty bad. I was tempted to stop watching it halfway through. I would recommend avoiding.

I saw the movie but enjoyed the series even better. I think it’s streaming on Netflix

Agreed…..I turned it off after 20 minutes. It seems like many of the new movies are “sanitized”. Maybe not the right word but they seem boring to me, like they are too careful and predictable.

@Rockin’Irish You didn’t miss anything. The story was absolute shit. I think it was probably one of the worst movies I’ve seen. Jeremy Irons must’ve really needed the payday.

Any reviews on Twisters or Longlegs? Thinking of going to the theater for the first time in forever.

Buddy of mine on another board, who is a big horror fan, said Longlegs was awesome.

"This era of horror keeps churning out classics several times per year and Longlegs belongs right at the top. Gonna go wrap myself in a blanket and ponder my existence after that movie."

Made me want to see it, but I'll wait for streaming.

a coworker and his wife went to see twisters last week and she says it is better than the first one from the mid nineties but i think the Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt version will be hard to beat

Saw both recently and enjoyed them. Longlegs was a pretty wicked murder mystery movie. Pretty intense and not a bad movie. Not for the kids. Twisters actually saw earlier today. Good tornado footage and a lot of action. Plot is ok but worth a watch. Acting is pretty good.
