They won...it justified the means.
Did it justify the means when Bush signed with an agent, forfeiting his amateur status?

The #1 rule of cheating is don't get caught. Michigan got caught.

Lance Armstrong was one of the greatest athletes of all time. A winner. You think the means were justified in his case? The end was that he was ostracized from the sporting world for being a massive cheater and all his titles forfeit.

No one really cares now after the fact...do you think people really give a shit that they took Reggie's Heisman? Kid was the best player in the country and won the Heisman - period. The NCAA no less the CFP won't do anything about this.

The NCAA and CFP KNEW scUM cheated mid-season and Jimmy boy was suspended 3...THREE times and they still let them in.

Harbaugh held things together. Sure, sure. Gets caught in an extremely elaborate, multi-year, cheating scandal, bolts for the NFL, and then takes virtually his entire staff with him. Leaving remaining members of the program to clean up the mess. I can see how that would look like he was holding things together.

However, I think another way to look at it from a non-cult member like myself is, Harbaugh burned it down. But, what do I know.

Some of the more insufferable locals around these parts have actually stated that they think Stallions was acting "rogue" and that they believe Harbaugh had little to no knowledge of what was going on. They actually believe he left because he didn't want to be a part of a sinking ship...as if he didn't build the ship himself.

They're so delusional.

So Michigan got infiltrated by a commie and then committed the worst on field cheating scandal in US sports? Damn, shut the whole dang university down and sink Ann Arbor into the nearest Great Lake

I believe we call that lack of institutional control

Sherrone Moore could have said no. Undoubtedly, other opportunities would have opened for him.

I think he's going to ruin his career just as it was getting started. In addition to what is undoubtedly going to be a major off field mess to clean up, the lack of returning production on the field for 2024 is going to get him off on the wrong foot most likely. From the outside looking in, he's in a very tough spot, but they wanted him and he wanted the job.

Anyone outside of that bubble could have given him proper advice and warned him to proceed with caution.

Harbaugh turned Michigan football into a cult. Nobody is capable of processing what they did as wrong or bad. And, nobody is capable of making decisions outside of what is best for the cult. Moore is just a servant of said cult. Doing his duty to serve and obey Michigan football.

They're going to make a documentary on this someday. It's going to be crazy.

Look, Michigan was already a cult. Bo knew and Fielding Yost was a terrible man and they still are revered on that campus.

Personally, I think he's well aware of everything and the possible consequences. The scUM job is still one of the better ones in CFB so it would be hard to turn down for a first timer.

That 9-4 season in 2019 seems like eons ago, doesn't it? They were ready to run him out.

He bought a ticket on the Titanic. First time or not, everyone has to make choices in life. Moore has made his.

For one, the NCAA doesn't have the power to bar Michigan from the CFP. That is a separate entity.

They do have the power to vacate wins and titles after the fact. And yes, people do care. A lot of people care. Because the reality is that Michigan's turnaround coincides with the beginning of this massive cheating network that Stalions ran and continued to run well in 2023.

The title is getting wiped from the record book and anybody who looks back on this season and the turnaround Harbaugh made, will look back and remember that it was completely tainted by the sign-stealing network that gave them an unfair competitive advantage.

It wasn't just a matter of a player being ineligible or illicit benefits, they deliberately cheated in order for them to gain an edge over every other program. As a result, teams that deserved to be in were locked out. You think they don't care? You think FSU fans and affiliates don't care that they went 13-0 and missed out on the CFP because one team cheated their way in? My guess is they're pretty damn livid and are not quiet about it.
