The irony in the whole EJ thing is he was mocking ND’s recruiting over the weekend saying it’s weird and corny. So Moore is weird and corny I guess.

He covers recruiting for a team whose head coach tried having a sleepover at a kids house and took his shirt off in a game of two hand touch with high school kids...

Dressing up like leprechauns might be corny, but it's fun. Harbaugh is just a fucking weirdo.

The sad thing is with him gone so goes any incentive for the NCAA to act. Poodle did the same thing.

The Pete Carroll NFL exit plan.

USC still got hit with sanctions. Curious to see what happens to Michigan. I think they're screwed. They thumbed their noses at the Big Ten and NCAA. I don't see the suits at either place taking that lightly. It's all about making examples of people as opposed to enforcing rules and having consequences. Michigan might be their next example.

The assumption here is that Harbaugh is getting Carroll type of personnel power. I am curious to see what this all entails in terms of money and the level of authority he's going to have over the draft and roster construction.

I said this exact same thing to my Michigan buddy (yes, singular...I refuse to have more than one friend who roots for that damn university). Anyways, I said this feels very Carroll-esque. Harbaugh has been flirting with the NFL for a few years, why go now? It's because he knows the NCAA is about to hammer UM and he's jumping ship. He got his natty* and now it's time to run away from the consequences that they'll inevitably receive from actions that lead to winning said natty*.

To my surprise, my buddy fully agreed. But as I suspected (which was a massive reason for my anger), "We still got our championship. The games were still played and we won them. No one can take that from us." Precisely why I've been saying for months that scUM should've never been allowed to play in those games in the first place.

Let that program burn to the ground. F'ing head coach got suspended, what two? three? times last season alone and they still were able to "win" a championship. Insane.

Glad he's gone. That's step 1.

Absolutely. The fact that the fans feel this way (as a majority probably would for most any college) means that cheating is worth it.

Has the NFL ever handed down sanctions to a coach for rules broken in the NCAA? I would have to think that is unprecedented and if the NFL attempted to do so to Harbaugh or anyone else it would just be another lawsuit waiting to happen.

The Chargers and the NFL don't give a shit about what happened at Michigan.

Yes, Jim Tessell had to serve a 5 game suspension when he left OSU and was hired as an advisor with the Colts.

Pretty sure they only did it because they said that the NFL would honor Prior’s suspension when he entered the supplemental draft.

Interesting. How do you suspend a consultant five games? Pay? No pay?

My thought is this is slightly different in that Harbaugh is probably making eight figures as a head coach with front office control.

today will be a good day to read the Michigan boards as the key cog to their success in strength coach Ben Herbert is following Harbaugh to LA. They’re in full blown panic mode
Any chance they would make a run at Balis? Or David Ballou?

He is given quite a bit of credit for their success as it turns out.

Let them squirm. The confetti hasn't even been cleaned up from their tainted title yet.

The ends only justify the means if you don't get caught.

They didn't win. They cheated and their title is forfeit.

JJ Watt is on Pat Mcafee Show right now talking about how great of a culture and team success impact the ttrength coach has that is leaving michigan and joining chargers. Apparently he was the strength coach while JJ was at wiscy.
