Business Hall of Fame week.
I am in the wrong business.

It was a jokeWhy on earth would he do that? He’s already winning huge at Georgia….
No kiddingIt was a joke
Nice call! It looks like starting OT for past two years (his only playing years) - So he has 2 + Covie years of eligibility remaining and we recruited him out of HS - Let's get 'em!If DeBoer takes the Bama job then ND needs to drop a bag for Roger Rosengarten.
The last 17 years were Nick Sabans greatness, not necessarily Alabamas greatness. Programs like Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, etc, they are just as good a jobs as Alabama…. Maybe better. This notion that Alabama is somehow THE peak college football job is and was silly. Saban was peak, but never conflate the two, and it seems like college coaches are showing you they know that’s the truth today. One thing in all this..if you are well paid, successful, and have full administrative support in Austin, Eugene, or Seattle, why would you want to move to Alabama? (and I know South Bend isn't great either)
I mean I wouldn’t move to Alabama under literally any circumstances. One thing in all this..if you are well paid, successful, and have full administrative support in Austin, Eugene, or Seattle, why would you want to move to Alabama? (and I know South Bend isn't great either)
Exactly. Anywhere you live can probably be really nice when you make millions of dollars, but Seattle is literally a world class city if you're wealthy.I mean I wouldn’t move to Alabama under literally any circumstances.

This is a bit much. Bama is a blue blood with a championship in every decade the last 100 years except for two (50’s and 80’s).
It is most certainly a destination job. There might be jobs that are just as good, but there isn’t a job that is better.

I agree they are a blue blood, destination job. But it, unequivocally, is NOT THE singular top job in all of college sports that stands alone and no one is close. It’s not that way. Period. And arguments can be made for many blue bloods might be a tick better. Again, that’s not saying it’s a shit job, and that’s not the point I’m trying to make. This is a bit much. They aren't Nebraska.Ah but with the Saban era in the rear view is Bama any better than a Tennessee or a Florida? What's so unique about them now? I feel like they could easily fade back into the middle of the SEC pack

They say you learn from your mistakes! There’s really only one man for the job

It would be hard for them to meet with Tommy then look elsewhere after Norvell and DeBoer said no.If Tommy falls ass backwards into this job because Saban sprung this on the admin with no notice I'll laugh my ass off
Looks like DeBoer is the winner.
UW was going to double his salary which was $4.2, so Bama must be offering around $9-$10.It's going to be KD.
Washington athletic director Troy Dannen has made an aggressive pitch to keep DeBoer, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel, with a new contract that would make him one of the 10 highest-paid coaches in the FBS and more than double his current annual salary of $4.2 million.
