Great addition and congrats to the young man. Seems like current staff realizes the level of HS football played in TX and is working hard to tap into it.

Hobbs and Moore is a great early start at CB. Now they can comfortably wait on a decision for for a guy like Beasley with little downside.

Unless you’re signing the 5 star CB #1 like a Stingley or Ringo etc, CB recruiting is the biggest crapshoot of any position, I’ve long said. CB #10 versus #30 is negligible difference in trusting the services. Mickens values speed and/or length and finds it. I predict Moore and Hobbs both are 4 stars, Moore even higher.

Stay recruiting in Austin it seems.

Any comments yet on the name? We finally get a Moore or some such?

It’s definitely worth the Dante drama just for the jokes.

Is there any worry that if one of UT/A&M/Okie comes calling that we’re going to need to play defense on this commit?

Agree with Dale. QBs are so bad in HS too that scouting is so tough. Also so many athletic HS WRs that transition in college.

Looking at some of the top CBs in the NFL:

Sauce Gardner: low 3 star
Patrick Surtain: 5 star, one of the best CB recruits in recent memory
James Bradbury: 2 star
Jaire Alexander: low 3 star
Darius Slay: low 3 star
Jalen Ramsey: 5 star, one of the best CB recruits in recent memory
Tariq Woolen: Low 3 star

Is it just me or does he have a first round pick type name?

I know the staff and Benmo had good things to say about this young man, but he saw a couple snaps in crunch time at A&M when nobody was hurt or tired. The fact they trust him enough to rotate him in in that situation tells me it wasnt just coach speak. Excited to see how good he can be with his size.
