Less concerned with his star ranking and more curious about why he doesn't have offers from any of the Texas, Texas A&M or Oklahoma. Those programs don't like making a habit of letting elite 6A skill position players leave the area. I'm sure they absolutely know who he is by now.
I think this is a fair point

That said CB is often considered one of the hardest positions to project, so if we're shifting to taking big classes & processing kids who don't make the cut then it makes sense to go after high ceiling guys early in the cycle.

in the 22 composite, the top 37 corners were 4*. Leonard appears to be right around that mark on average across the services. A couple good 7on7/summer camps and he would be 4* "blue chip" in a blink of an eye.

Mickens deserves some credit for eye for talent at this point.

Very reasonable. I still say that it's so early in the cycle that most boards have likely not expanded like they will in the Spring/Summer time. Maybe by that time, this looks like a way too early take.

Regardless, I think it's just the perfect kind of recruiting for Freeman. Where Kelly would take Hobbs and Moore then shutdown CB recruiting with numbers met. Freeman will, likely, simply use that as an opportunity to focus resources on the elite guys. He wants Beasley. That is clear. Now, in the event that he misses, we're not left with nothing.

Listening to Tyler James & Eric Hansen, who now have a Youtube show btw, they were talking about Leonard Moore and how Nick Harris, the Rivals National Analyst who was the first insider to put down a prediction of Moore to ND, said to them that Moore will also be getting a rankings boost very soon.

He sits as an unranked national prospect at the moment, but is the #34 CB.

I'm happy to say I'm less worried about CB recruiting since Mickens came in the fold. He's been solid at identifying talent even if it isn't highly rated by the services. Until proven otherwise, I'll rely on that.

That is interesting. High school is 20-30 minutes from UT campus. But seems like ND is recruiting Texas better with Freeman and his staff.

Sounds like he wants to still take visits elsewhere so probably won’t be committing anywhere until after those visits.

Source? If it's the 247 thread, loy is talking about Justin Scott. Leonard Moore is most likely committing to ND this month, if I had to guess.
