I'm with you. It would be more likely that Day moves on before OSU moves on. Cooper had a horrible record vs Michigan and he was there for an eternity.
Ryan Day has a very good record with the exception of losing to Michigan the last couple of years. It wouldnt surprise me to see OSU go on another long run of wins vs Michigan starting from next year. Even without any sanctions or coaching changes, Michigan is going to undergo a serious rebuild after this year.

Totally agree. For whatever reason Harbaugh has been Day's kryptonite the past couple years and likewise Urban was Harbaugh's. Harbaugh is either going to the couch or the NFL specifically the Raiders IMO next year

Harbaugh to the Raiders makes a lot of sense actually.

No thanks. He caught lightening in a bottle with that Joe Burrow lead offense at LSU, but he wasn't even calling plays for that team. His stint as OC for the Panthers was absolutely terrible. ND can do better.
Pretty sure you won’t have to worry as he’s made it obvious he wants to be in the NFL. Couldn’t he have stayed and assumed OC at LSU after the OC retired?

I don’t even follow the “scandal” anymore whether it’s on X or on this board. Nothing is going to happen that is meaningful long-term. B1G & CFP teams better beat scUM on the field or STFU

Yeah, by all accounts he wants nothing to do with the college game moving forward.

Yeah, he has stated several times he doesn't want to recruit.

James Franklin may decide he’s had enough of trying to overcome Michigan and OSU and book it for College Station. I’m not sure how upset PSU fans would be if that is the case.
The way his contract extension was structured really seems like he was leaving himself options jn the event a big job opened up.
I wouldn’t be shocked if we’re facing him in about 10 months time.

Firing a staggeringly overpaid coach who couldn’t beat the rival teams his school aspires to be so that you can hired a staggeringly overpaid coach who couldn’t beat the rival teams his old school aspired to be would rock so hard.

My trip to CS just got more interesting. Jimbo and Ed O can make a lot of money next year.

Depending on the hire, I could see a ton of players transferring out and leaving that program worse than it is now. Players can enter the portal for 30 days now so some may not even wait around until the new coach is hired.

With a new coach and a general buzz about the program they will be dominant in NIL/portal. If they fire Jimbo today they’ll have have first dibs on whoever they want including Meyer etc

It’ll be interesting to see who is on their shortlist. I have no inside info but wouldn’t be surprised if they took runs at: Franklin, Elko, MFMF, Lincoln Riley, Kliff Kingsbury.

They won’t learn. They will hire another coach, over pay him and still not wins title in the sec!
