I’ve reached a point that I am willing to start looking around for a new WR coach if I am MF — maybe give Chansi another year if we can’t find a home run hire. It appears as though CS is a very solid recruiter, but NONE of the WRs has developed — even taking injuries into consideration. It’s not just a Del A. problem anymore.
Thomas - stagnate
Merriwhether - stagnate or regressed
Colzie - stagnate or regressed
Styles - regressed all the way to CB and out
Freshman - started strong, then regressed.
If we can upgrade, we should. WR production is what holds this program back, imo. We should see development, similar to the trajectory we see at TE and RB, but it is just not there. Am I crazy?
This is one of the worst takes I've seen, at least this week. (IE is really good at really bad takes)
Chansi has recruited well and developed the guys. I think we need to seriously upgrade S&C after the season. Balis left us in the lurch and whoever is filling in isn't cutting it. Way too many hamstrings in the WR room and that has seriously killed production.
Chansi was given a depleted cupboard and he has us back to being near the scholarship numbers we need. After this next class, we'll have a healthy room again. We'll be fortunate to keep Chansi, I imagine there'll be a number of programs that would like to poach him for his acumen on the trail.
Oh yeah, Tyree converted from WR -> RB and he just keeps getting better.
Flores and Greathouse have run into the "freshman wall" but have still produced more than any freshman since?
Colzie is injured.
Thomas has been injured, not stagnate.
Merriweather has underperformed.
Just couldn't disagree more with everything stated or suggested in your post.
