This came up the other day and I'm curious to hear the board's take: I personally do not feel you can cause a jinx by worrying aloud about a negative outcome, as Reaper does above. You can only jinx your team by referring openly to putative positive outcomes, whether that's attributing to them a likelihood of coming to pass, or in the instance of no hitters even merely mentioning their existence, before they occur. My buddy disagreed and I'd like to establish whose is the fringe opinion here.

If they did their usual offense, they are up a couple scores with the half almost over.
Both teams have already had 4 possessions each, early 2nd Q.

Yep and the Navy offense has produced explosive plays not the usual grind out the clock 4 yards at a time we’re used to seeing.
