We are getting pressure we just aren’t getting sacks.
Only if we bring extra guys. There is no one on the front four that can get to the QB on his own, it feels like.

I think this is by design. I think a player can be told, "get to the QB" or "maintain lane integrity however you must and push" When we go against more 'static' QBs, I bet you'll see plenty of our guys getting off blocks. After going back and watching the DL for a few series, it isn’t that they aren’t able to generate push and collapse the pocket—they just can’t get off a block. Rylie Mills has a great bull rush…but that’s it. They’re going to need to continue to bring Marist and Sneed consistently to actually generate hurries and pressure.
So I text him after the weather delay ended and asked "would your shift have ended before the game resumed?"I kid you not, I have a buddy who actually quit his job because they were making him work a mandatory shift tomorrow lol. He has been looking for a way out of his role for a while now, including applying anywhere who was hiring in his field, but this was the last straw for him.
The dedication is incredible.
what's your excuse?!
There were some questionable penalties that basically handed them 14 points, tbf, but you'd love to see a resilient D overcmoe that and hold them to 0-3 points at least once. But that's easier said than done.A win is a win, be gave up too many points against a terrible QB today. Hope we clean some shit up over this and next week or else OSU will have our lunch.
He seems way more comfortable on the sidelines this yearLoved seeing Marcus Freeman get after the refs a bit.

What did Kirk do? Or do people just generally hate Herbie? We've had this debate before so I'm just curious if he said/did something on GameDay or Twitter on Saturday that got people riled up, as I couldn't watch. Can we all just agree on this one thing that Irishcop so beautifully stated?
Fuck Herbstreit.
That is all.
Yeah, I'm trying not to let that "ACC bias, break the streak at all costs" seep into my brain but it was difficult to watch some of those penalty calls. Some were 50-50, I get those, but a couple of them seemed ticky-tacky and absurd. He better get good at it - ACC officiating is the worst and its hard to tell sometimes if it is bias or ineptitude, or both.

What a clown, I usually like Kirk but he seems very down on the Irish this year even with the Hartman transfer and our 3-0 start. He picked state
How close do you sit to the tv?I look at Kirk's eyes and see a man who has retreated into the bottle, hard.
He enrolled in 2020, which doesn't count for eligibility (COVID), played in 21 and 22, this being his true senior season. So he has one final year of eligibility in 24.Does Ramon Henderson have another year of elgibility after this year?
our new kicker has some serious leg. He might be able to make one from 60
No kidding. Talk about booming it...those were some powerful kicks.our new kicker has some serious leg. He might be able to make one from 60

I feel like that's fairly common in the early season? Most teams are playing nonconference and only so many are going to play real opponents in any given week. Still, this past week had our game, Texas-Bama, Colorado-Nebraska, Miami-A&M, Baylor-Utah was a fun matchup. Wisconsin-Wazzu was a good game. USC-Stanford was not a good game b/c Stanford sucks but still worth a late-night watch for us. Etc.Is it just me or has there only been 2-3 games every week worth watching, including nd playing?

Caleb Williams is a truly difficult test. We need everyone to hold their assignment while pressing inward and reducing Williams time to find the open man.
When it's this early in the season I'm just starving for football so I tend to just find the best game, whatever that may be, and watch it in every time slot regardless and flip through the other games during commercials. Is it just me or has there only been 2-3 games every week worth watching, including nd playing?
They look as expected. They're an okay ACC team. This team is proving tonight that they aren’t good either
