I was asking more like, do you use chilis or just powder, is it ground meat or hunks like a bowl of red etc etc. I'm very confident in my chili recipe (that I must have posted about a dozen times in the food thread).
Ah I gotcha, my B. I'm really just teasing haha. I use ground beef but it has to be quality stuff, not the garbage you get at Kroger or Meijer. I have used both real chilis and powder but personally prefer the powder, and prefer the dark spicy chili p, it provides a lot more flavor.

I prefer a lot of heat in my chili so I use hot kidney beans and some cayenne pepper. The recipe calls for 1 - 1 1/2 cups Water but I substitute Guinness.
Let me ax you this before I read anything further about your famous chilli. Do you or do you not soak your ground beef and/or pork in worcester sauce prior to cooking it?
I have not tried this! is this the way? Do you recommend?
um, Guinness - I presume you meant the beer. That might be an interesting tenderizer for sure. You can also match it with a Guinness while eating the chili.
Thank you for catching a minor spelling mistake, everyone loves a stickler for grammar on a message board lol. It is quite good both in and with the chili.

I have several different chili recipes that I make. Some are fancier/more authentic than others, but I'd be lying if I said my favorite wasn't the frito-pie style chili I make. It's a very typical slow cooker chili with sauted ground beef and onions, garlic powder, ancho Chilli powder, paprika, cumin, a little cocoa etc. But I also throw in a very healthy squeeze of sriracha (for heat and the fermented funk) and a six pack of good quality hotdogs cut up into coins just before the long cook. I serve it in a bowl over fritos, with pickled jalapeños, cheese, and sour cream as toppings. Delicious.

A good chili cook never reveals his secrets. It is up to the chef to find their own way.

I will give you a small hint towards part of my chili's success, though: Guiness
Before or while enjoying your chili? lol

I think I'll have to try that one this year.

I use the typical ingredients for my chili, except I use black beans (sometimes I'll use black and kidney together). My other change is I pour some juice from a jar of jalapenos in while cooking.

I strongly recommend removing all beans from chili. I'm starting a national movement. "Beans make you toot, give them the boot". Who's with me? LOL.

Waiting to be ostracized from this board.

This is the way... If you're looking for a substitute rather than a removal, I've seen a few recipes pop up that talk about plantains or sweet potato chunks. I plan on trying both once we get into the 60s consistently this Fall.

I'm assuming most agree with you. My assumption was that the mere mention of no beans in chili, that I would likely be stoned.
Don't worry it's coming.

Definitely no noodles of any kind. You want noodles cook them yourself and add them to your bowl and only your bowl.

Gotcha,… pretty sure I shared my recipe at some point so I wasn’t sure if you were referring to that

There were rumors before the season of him being unhappy because some NIL things not coming through, don't know the specifics. Hard pass in general, do not want to associate with his "handlers" and there's no evidence yet that he will pan out.
