I realize you used Italics but I still have PTSD from our last trip to Raleigh lol. THe forecast looks pretty good all week, low 80s and partly cloudy. Most of the rain in the forecast is mid-week this week.

So, hopefully more ideal conditions than last time, but either way hopefully a less stubborn coaching staff would adjust accordingly.

And the hurricane that might be isn't scheduled to threaten landfall until NEXT week when we'll be prepping for the Chippewas

The Beat spent the whole offseason talking up NC State and how it's gonna be a very difficult game, only for the Wolfpack to greatly struggle against UCONN of all teams...

From where I’m sitting this is one of the better rosters we’ve had in a long time, Freeman is hopefully settling in too,… this NCSt team would need to be better than advertised or something irregular happen like a key injury early on for us to drop this. If we do then this ain’t the team I think it is for sure

The only other thing I can see leading to an upset loss is the team just not at all being up for the game. But I highly doubt that happens.

I tend to agree, I thinkt he players are well aware that this is the best team they've played by a wide margin and are looking forward to the challenge.

Coach said all the right things in his presser. he knows it's a program that's been pretty stable under Doeren, it's a venue that's won 17/18 home games over the past few seasons, so I'm sure that's got his attention and he's passing that down to the guys.

Based on ND's 120 minutes of football and NC State's 60 minutes, I don't know why anyone would feel nervous about this game. It might not be 56-3 but it's going to be a victory.

I am trying not to drink the blue and gold kool-aid too much, but the one common denominator in the 28 game winning streak against ACC opponents is ND's vastly superior talent on the lines, Clemson included last year (and this year). NC State's base defense is a 3-3-5. Sure, they will adjust that to a 4-3 or a 4-2-5... and then Hartman will beat them instead of Estime and co. My expectation is for them to cover fairly easily, and I won't be surprised at all with another 38-42 point output by the offense barring them doing any Clemsoning.

Couldn't agree more any other year I'm nervous about this game but when you got a QB who can literally go and score in 40 seconds why be worried plus Parker hasn't thrown the whole play book out there.

The most recent was ten months ago. Now does he have a better supporting cast with him this time around? You'd better believe it.

A brain > chip on your shoulder. Every damn time. He shouldn't even be thinking about anything he did prior to Notre Dame.

This second tier basketball school from Raleigh, NC is 2-1 against ND, BTW. 1/1/2003 Gator Bowl and the 2016 hurricane debacle. ND took back a pound of flesh in 2017 with a 35-14 win. Another pound and the history is even 2-2 by 2:30 CST on Saturday.

I think we finally find out how good the defense is. I think the last two teams left us off the hook quite a bit. Lots of easy drops by receivers, and we missed a lot of tackles behind the LOS last game.
